Today marks three weeks since the spontaneous protests began in front of the headquarters of the Socialist Party (PSOE) in Spain.
These protests are intended to denounce the socialist pact and the fugitive Carles Puigdemont to amnesty criminals convicted of the 2017 separatist coup in Catalonia, a pact that attacks judicial independence, equality before the law and national unity. You can see images of this Thursday's protests here, less than other days. For this Friday there are protests called in all the provincial capitals, on the occasion of the general strike organized by the Solidarity union against the amnesty.
There have already been three weeks of protests on Ferraz Street, in front of the national headquarters of the PSOE. Today the Municipal Police, under the command of Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida (of the Popular Party), fined a woman for blowing whistles in support of the protesters. Once again, the National Police has prevented protesters from approaching the socialist headquarters. Photos: @borja_montoro_c / @PattyPa11175249.
