The far-left has always demonstrated a pathological tendency to lie and absolute shamelessness in expounding its postulates.
The Spanish party Podemos is a good example of both of these characteristics. This far-left party was founded by communist Pablo Iglesias Turrión, a man who admitted in 2013 that he allowed himself to be used by the Iranian Islamist dictatorship to destabilize Spain. Today, that party is one of the Spanish organizations that are most persistently spreading the hoax of the "genocide" in Gaza, a hoax that the Spanish far left launched when there were more Israeli dead than Palestinian dead in this war provoked by Hamas terrorists committing the worst anti-Semitic massacre since the Holocaust. In the European Parliament, Podemos was one of the parties that did not condemn this massacre.
Let us remember that Podemos was one of the Spanish parties that did not condemn the genocide perpetrated by ISIS against Christians and Yazidis in Nineveh, during a vote in the European Parliament in December 2016, and also voted against the European condemnation of the crimes of Nazism and Communism in a vote in the Congress of Deputies in March 2021, because it refused to condemn the atrocities perpetrated by communist dictatorships. These are the ones now slandering the State of Israel with a false accusation of "genocide" and invoking human rights.
Last week, the far-left party once again displayed its cynicism when it spoke about these rights. Last Sunday, Podemos' general secretary, Ione Belarra, posted this message on Twitter: "A fruitful and interesting meeting with representatives of the Chinese Communist Party to share impressions on the changes in international politics and the media landscape." In the photo, we see Pablo Iglesias, MEP Irene Montero, and Belarra with several leaders of the Chinese communist dictatorship's sole party, which has held power in that country since 1949 without free elections and systematically violates the most basic human rights.

This message is purely grotesque. Talking about the "media landscape" with the Communist Party of China (CPC) is like talking about racism with the Ku Klux Klan. Currently, Communist China is ranked 178th out of 180 countries in the world press freedom list by Reporters Without Borders, an NGO hardly suspected of being right-wing. The Beijing regime is surpassed only by two other communist dictatorships: North Korea (179) and Eritrea (180). These are the worst countries to be a journalist today and the ones with the strictest censorship. There is no free press there or anything like it.
In addition to this, and as I mentioned a few days ago, the Chinese communist dictatorship is responsible for one of the largest genocides in history, a genocide with tens of millions of deaths. It is part of those horrendous crimes of communism that Podemos refused to condemn four years ago. Even today, that dictatorship is perpetrating a genocide against the Uyghur minority, with 3 million people detained, many of them tortured and subjected to rape, sterilization, and forced labor. A genocide about which Podemos has never said a single word.
Today, it can be said that the CPC is the most genocidal party in the world, as Adolf Hitler's Nazi Party and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union disappeared years ago. I think I'm not mistaken if I bet that none of the crimes of Chinese communism were discussed at that meeting. With that meeting, Podemos and its friends in the CPC are openly laughing at the deluded people who have swallowed their anti-Semitic hoax against Israel.
