The false accusation of "genocide" against Israel is being actively promoted by the far left in various Western countries.
The far left refused to condemn Hamas's anti-Semitic massacre.
This hoax is clearly a way to hide the crimes of genocide perpetrated by Hamas against Israeli civilians in its October 7, 2023 attack against Israel, the worst massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust. This massacre included kidnappings, rape of women, and torture and murder against entire families, including children and babies, horrendous crimes against Jews that the far left refused to condemn in the European Parliament twelve days after the Hamas terrorist attack, which triggered the current war situation in the Middle East.
It also refused to condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine
After refusing to condemn these brutal crimes against Jews because they are Jews, the far left joined the Islamists in their hoax to accuse Israel of "genocide", and did so by displaying a shameless double standard when talking about genocide, an accusation that the far left has never made against Russia for its crimes against the Ukrainian civilian population, through systematic and indiscriminate attacks on targets with no military value such as residential buildings, temples, schools, museums, hospitals, kindergartens, etc. In fact, in 2022, far-left MEPs, including the current communist minister Sira Rego, refused to support the European resolution condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
It refused to condemn the crimes of communism, with 100 million dead.
This was not the first time that the far left displayed its double standards when it came to talking about genocide. In 2021, the Spanish far-left refused to sign the European condemnation of the crimes of communism, a resolution that expressly mentioned the crimes of genocide perpetrated by this totalitarian movement, crimes that accumulate more than 100 million deaths. Socialists, communists, and far-left separatists joined forces to prevent this condemnation from being adopted by Congress in Spain. They are the same people who are now falsely accusing Israel of "genocide" for exercising its legitimate defense against Hamas terrorists.
It refused to condemn the extermination of Christians and Yazidis by ISIS in Iraq.
Before that, in 2016, the Spanish far left also refused to support a European resolution accusing ISIS of genocide, for the crimes committed by that Islamist terrorist organization in the Nineveh Plains, a region in northern Iraq, a massacre in which thousands of Christians and Yazidis were killed because of their faith. One of the far-left MEPs who refused to support the resolution, Spaniard José Couso Permuy, then of the United Left,, cited "Islamophobia" as a reason for his vote. Is condemning Islamists for massacring thousands of Christians and Yazidis in order to exterminate them "Islamophobia"?
Furthermore, the parliamentary group of the European United Left, which currently includes far-left parties such as Podemos, Sumar and EH Bildu (which are very active in the aforementioned hoax against the State of Israel), presented an alternative text that deleted the word "genocide" and any mention of Christians and also avoided condemning the crimes of ISIS, but which did condemn Western interventions in the Middle East. They are, I repeat, the same ones who now falsely accuse Israel of "genocide", demonstrating absolute shamelessness and boundless moral misery.
