Who is pulling the strings behind the false accusation of 'genocide' against Israel?

On October 7, 2023, Israel suffered the worst terrorist attack in its history and the worst massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

More than 240 jurists accused Hamas of crimes of genocide.

A few days after that massacre, more than 240 international law experts from 22 nations accused Hamas of crimes of genocide against Israel, stating: "these widespread, horrendous acts appear to have been carried out with an “intent to destroy, in whole or in part” a national group – Israelis – a goal explicitly declared by Hamas, they most probably constitute an international crime of genocide, proscribed by the Genocide Convention and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court."

Hamas allies' campaign to demonize Israel

Ignoring this, Islamism began to put its propaganda machine in motion to demonize the attacked country, Israel, and to whitewash the monstrous terrorists who kidnapped, tortured, raped, and murdered defenseless civilians, including children and babies. Hamas's main international supporters are Turkey, Qatar, and Iran, and these three countries used their propaganda media (including the powerful Qatari group Al Jazeera) to accuse Israel of "genocide" for exercising its right to defend itself and strike back at Hamas to rescue all the people kidnapped by the terrorists. The Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS) noted in March:

"Qatar’s influential Al Jazeera network—today the world’s most popular English-language news channel after CNN and BBC—regularly amplifies Hamas and other Islamist extremist messaging, forbidding criticism of Hamas by its journalists. Recently, six Al Jazeera Gaza journalists were exposed as Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives actively involved in choreographing ceremonies around Israeli hostages."

Thanks to the money made from oil sales, Qatar has an influence in the West that extends to sports, diplomacy, academia, and even the media. It is no coincidence that the Spanish socialist newspaper El País, one of those that has most demonized Israel in the last two years, has an important Qatari shareholder on its board of directors, a shareholder who is a member of the family of the Emir of Qatar.

The USSR supported Palestinian terrorism: Russia took over

Over the past two years, Qatar has used that influence to create a narrative portraying the targeted country, Israel, as guilty of "genocide," a clearly false accusation but one that is useful for covering up accusations of genocide crimes against Hamas. This slander against Israel has been enthusiastically echoed by the European far left, which has spent decades supporting Palestinian terrorism by identifying it as a movement against Western imperialism, a narrative that was created and disseminated by the USSR, a communist dictatorship that actively supported Palestinian terrorism, using it to undermine Western influence in the Middle East and destabilize pro-Western Arab regimes.

The USSR disappeared in 1991, but Vladimir Putin's dictatorship has reactivated the global strategy of the Soviet dictatorship, taking on its communist allies (Cuba, China and North Korea), connecting with new socialist dictatorships (Venezuela and Nicaragua) and strengthening ties with the Islamist dictatorship of Iran. These ties also include terrorist groups supported by the Iranian regime. When Hamas took over the Gaza Strip in 2006, Putin requested a meeting with that terrorist group, clearly placing it in his orbit of influence.

Moscow used the Hamas attack to weaken support for Ukraine

Following the Hamas attack on Israel in October 2023, Dmitry Medvedev, Vice Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated that the attack was "an expected development" and added: "This is what Washington and its allies should be busy with." The strategy was clear: Russia is using the Hamas attack to weaken Western support for Ukraine in the face of a Russian invasion of that country. Therefore, it is not surprising to see that among the political sectors most aligned with Russia (the far-left, the far-right, and Islamists), slander against Israel has been very actively disseminated, but none of them accuse Russia of "genocide" for its attacks on the Ukrainian civilian population.

A strategy in which Pedro Sánchez is a mere puppet

This double standard has also spread to a certain left that calls itself "moderate" but that shares spaces, alliances, and even coalition governments with the anti-Semitic far left. This is the case of the Spanish Prime Minister, the socialist Pedro Sánchez, who has accused Israel of "genocide" but not Russia, while he continues to buy large quantities of Russian gas, helping Putin's dictatorship finance its war of aggression against Ukraine.

As I explained this morning, Sánchez has communist ministers whose party, the PCE, is allied with a Palestinian terrorist group, the PFLP. A criminal organization that the Sánchez government allowed to demonstrate freely in Madrid in January 2024, a march attended by the communist minister Sira Rego.

The Western Left is allowing itself to be used by former Nazi allies

Thus, the left and the far left are allowing themselves to be used in a strategy whose ultimate goal is to cover up Hamas's crimes of genocide, crimes that sought to sow terror among the civilian population of Israel and kill as many Jews as possible. Those now called "Palestinians" (formerly called "Arabs") have been trying for years to drive the Jews from the land of their ancestors.

In fact, in 1948, the year the modern State of Israel was created, when the UN partitioned the former British Mandate of Palestine, the Arabs rejected the partition because they did not want to live with the Jews. In the following decades, the Arab nations of the Middle East tried to destroy the State of Israel several times, accumulating one defeat after another. Behind this desire to expel or kill the Jews of the Middle East there was a clear anti-Semitic purpose that became clear when in 1941 the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husayni, leader of the Arabs of Palestine, allied himself with nazi Germany in an attempt to get Hitler to help him exterminate the Jews of Palestine.

Today, Israel considers al-Husayni one of the instigators of the Holocaust, but Palestinian authorities still praise this Nazi collaborator. It is therefore not an exaggeration to conclude that Palestinian terrorism aims to complete the Holocaust initiated by the nazis by exterminating the Jews who survived that genocide and their descendants in the land of their ancestors. This is another reason why some people are particularly obsessed with falsely accusing a people who suffered a real genocide of "genocide": They seek to have the Holocaust, which was supported by many Arabs in the Middle East, buried and even justified by these slanders against the Jewish people. A diabolical strategy in which the Western left has sided with the former allies of the nazis.
