Some people think it's an exaggeration to describe the current president of Spain as a psychopath and arsonist, but the facts are crystal clear.
This Friday marked the 175th anniversary of the birth of Pablo Iglesias Posse, founder of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), who died on December 9, 1925. Yesterday at 2:31 p.m. CET, the current secretary general of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, wrote: "Pablo Iglesias lit the flame of rights in our country. He taught us that the world can only transform and advance with equality, social justice, and dignity for workers. 175 years later, his inspiration continues to preside over our commitment. Proud of our memory".
Pablo Iglesias encendió la llama de los derechos en nuestro país.

A person's role models say a lot about their values and ideas. Reading Pedro Sánchez declaring himself inspired by and proud of Pablo Iglesias Posse should be a cause for scandal, because after all, the current socialist leader is the president of the Spanish government and, as I pointed out here last year, Pablo Iglesias incited to murder a political rival, specifically the conservative deputy Antonio Maura, to whom he addressed these words from the Parliamentary tribunal on July 7, 1910:
"Such has been the indignation produced by the policy of the government presided over by Mr. Maura, that the proletarian elements, that we, of whom it is said that we do not value our nation, that we do not value the interests of our country, truly loving it, feeling the misfortunes of all, have reached the extreme of considering that before His Lordship comes to power we must resort to personal attack."
As I already pointed out, 15 days after making that threat, on July 22, Maura was shot while traveling by train to Barcelona with his family, resulting in injuries to his leg and arm. Acting in the same way as the supporters of the terrorist group ETA, Pablo Iglesias refused to condemn this terrorist attack and even mocked Maura in the official newspaper of the PSOE, "El Socialista", in its issue of July 29, 1910: "The Universe itself attributes to the intervention of the Holy Virgin the fact that Mr. Maura escaped with his life from the infamous attack. Then trust in the Virgin and don't run!"
Reading these words, we can conclude that Pablo Iglesias was a fanatic, a bully, and a totalitarian, as also proven by facts such as his call for a coup d'état against the government of the liberal José Canalejas and his praise of the dictatorship of Lenin, the first communist dictator, a regime of terror that murdered more than a million people in six years and about which The founder of the PSOE stated in "El Socialista" on July 19, 1919:
"Today the work of the Russians finds an echo in all the proletarian hearts and, despite the slanderous campaigns of the press, which charges so much for its censures, and despite all the lying horrors that have circulated, instinct tells the deep masses of proletarians that the Soviet Revolution is their revolution, the one that will realize most of their ideals."
Seeing the atrocities that guy said, the PSOE should have already apologized for the words of its founder and disowned him. This is what it would have done if the PSOE were really a party that truly believed in democracy. On the contrary, that party continues to defend a madman who incited the murder of a political rival, and Sánchez even claims to feel inspired by him, displaying the attitude of an unbalanced person who believes that anything goes in politics to achieve one's goals, which is precisely what Pablo Iglesias stated in Parliament in that incendiary speech of July 7, 1910:
"This party has not changed its mind on this matter; it will be within the law as long as the law allows it to acquire what it needs; outside the law, as all parties have been, when it does not allow it to realize its aspirations."
A statement that seems designed to cover up the PSOE's corruption scandals over the last few decades, scandals that now have Sánchez in a bind.
