The Ukrainian Armed Forces are managing to destroy expensive Russian materiel, such as tanks and other armored vehicles, with very cheap drones, some of them being sold on the civilian market. Operating with these drones not only provides a lot of information to the Ukrainian forces, but also helps to avoid serious risks when carrying out certain attacks, as we can see in a video published yesterday by the Ukrainian Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Ukrainian military intelligence:

According to the SBU, the soldiers who carried out this attack belonged to the Special Unit "White Wolf" of the Special Operations Center "A" (known as the Alpha Group) of the SBU, an operations unit specials. The drone drops a mortar shell on the tank, a common practice among Ukrainian forces. Last year I have already mentioned here the problem of the automatic loaders of the Russian tanks, which is their greatest vulnerability, since the projection charges are separated from the projectiles and both are housed at the base of the turret.

Next we see the classic scene of the flying turret (it is the black spot that is seen in the right half of the screen), caused by the explosion of the projection charges housed in its base. But this time the turret reaches so high that it almost shoots down the Ukrainian drone.

According to the information provided by the SUB in the description of the video, in this operation the "Lobo Blanco" Special Unit managed to destroy two tanks, four armored personnel carriers, one Akatsiya self-propelled gun, two vehicles , armored vehicles, two trucks and a Pole-21 electronic warfare system.
