The dissolution of a peaceful protest in Ferraz, Madrid, using tear gas and rubber bullets, has caused widespread outrage.
An episode typical of socialist dictatorships like Venezuela
What happened yesterday in Ferraz, in a peaceful demonstration in defense of the rule of law and against the government's attack on the Constitution, led by its separatist allies, is an episode reminiscent of socialist dictatorships like Venezuela more than democratic countries. That it was done by a coalition government of socialists and communists, in which there are ministers who sympathize with those dictatorships, is no coincidence.
We are facing one more step in the process of degradation of our democracy promoted by the Sánchez government. A process that includes attacks on judicial independence, pacts with coup plotters and with sympathizers of the terrorist group ETA, violation of individual rights during the pandemic lockdowns and now, in addition, an unconstitutional amnesty for government allies to support Sánchez's re-election. A measure criticized yesterday by the General Council of the Judiciary, which has described it as "a serious violation of fundamental rights."
Harsh criticism from the Police: “What happened today is unjustifiable”
Although the spectacle given yesterday by some of the police officers who participated in that device was embarrassing (the orders do not in any way justify the behavior of certain agents), it must be said that within There is great discomfort among the Police with that violent charge yesterday, and that discomfort has come to light on social networks in the last few hours. Police unions have harshly criticized this repressive measure, pointing to the government as responsible for ordering it, without there being any reason to do so.
Last night, Samuel Vázquez, president of the Policía S.XXI association, commented: "What is happening today is unjustifiable, we will have to examine our conscience and assume responsibilities, always assuming that the in charge of designing the perimeter and ordering the use of anti-riot material and charges is the government delegate; who is not a professional, it is this character", showing a photo of the socialist Francisco Martín Aguirre .
Vázquez adds: "The force used must depend on the violence of the protesters, you cannot spend hours enduring showers of cobblestones and then release smoke at the first opportunity. Another thing is that these other two sinister characters are masters at defocusing attention to dilute responsibility", showing a photo of the Minister of the Interior, the socialist Ferando Grande-Marlaska, and the general director of the Police, also a socialist Francisco Pardo Piqueras. "They already have what they wanted, people confronting the police", adds Vázquez.
“The politician gets it for free and transfers all the criticism to the police”
On its Twitter account, the association Policía S.XXI published last night about the agents who launched gas to the protesters, pointing out: "The police (the Government) orders the police to charge Ferraz with all the means at their disposal. The politician gets it for free and transfers the police all the criticism, appearing like the bad guys in front of the good people. Machiavelli would write about this today."
Criticism from the Policía S.XXI to the use of tear gas
In turn, the vice president of Policía S.XXI, Josema Vallejo, pointed out last night: "Sources from the device confirm to me that tear gas has YES been used. Means that the government does not usually allow to be used even against the most violent radicals .From my always defense of police actions, I must say that this, today, is INDEFENDABLE. The enemy is the one who gives the orders. He who follows them, there with his conscience."
The ASP police union: “We will ask for responsibilities”
Also last night, Alfredo Perdiguero, spokesperson for the Police Union Alternative (ASP), commented on last night's charge in Ferraz: "I thought it was just smoke, but more and more, they say that they have used tear gas. In the dignity marches They were used exceptionally alongside Colón, because there were more than 60 police officers injured. These are means that the Interior does not usually allow to be used even against the most violent radicals."
Perdiguero added: "As a union we defend and will always defend police actions, but if this has been like this, against people who were just shouting, from ASP we will demand responsibilities. Because if the government delegate has given the order and someone has executed it, the only thing it has achieved is to leave us at the feet of the horses and take away the support of the people. And we are not going to allow that."
Jupol points out that these means “were NOT authorized in Catalonia”
For its part, the police union Jupol answered Sánchez's attempt to present the PSOE as a victim, stating that its headquarters (which the socialists call "people's houses") are being attacked. Jupol was clear: "The “houses of the people” are being protected by those who you called “piolines”, for amnesty to those who attempted a coup d'état", remembering the insult launched by Sánchez in May 2022 against the police officers deployed in Catalonia to stop the separatist coup of 2017, a coup that Sánchez now intends to amnesty. Regarding yesterday's charge in Ferraz, Jupol pointed out that "means that were NOT authorized in Catalonia" have been used, despite the violence displayed by the separatists.
