They belong, among others, to two of the most pro-Russian parties in Spain

The list of Spanish politicians, all from the extreme left, who endorse Nicolás Maduro

The Venezuelan dictator could not commit the abuses and atrocities he does if he did not have a network of collaborators inside and outside his country.

The Spanish left and its support for Maduro: it wants the same thing in Spain as in Venezuela
The Venezuelan dictatorship and its allies, further proof that the Cold War continues

Yesterday, the website of MOSOREBO (Movement of Solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution in the Spanish State), a support network for that dictator in Spain, published a list of politicians and activists titled "Overseers of the Spanish State endorse the legitimacy of Nicolás Maduro's victory and condemn external interference". Curiously, they support Maduro by refusing to publish the election records, while his regime is dedicated to murdering and arresting members of the democratic opposition and while blocking the WhatsApp messaging service and blocking the social network Twitter in an attempt to prevent any protests.

Coincidentally, all the Spanish politicians on the list belong to extreme left parties, some of them also separatist. Taking into account the international support of the Maduro regime (among which is the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin), it is no surprise to see that the list includes politicians from Podemos and Izquierda Unida (IU), two of the Spanish parties that have voted the most times in favor of Russia in the European Parliament. Let us also remember that on 1 March 2022, the European Parliament adopted a resolution condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Izquierda Unida and EH Bildu (also on the list) were among the few who did not support the resolution.

Without further ado, I list here the politicians who appear on that list (I include both active politicians and those who have held political office in the past):

  • Enrique Santiago Romero, Secretary General of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) and member of Congress for Sumar.
  • Marije Fullaondo, EH Bildu deputy in Congress.
  • Engracia Rivera, Sumar (IU-PCE) deputy in Congress.
  • Noemí Santana, Podemos deputy in Congress.
