This Thursday, the deputy and spokesperson for Vox in the Madrid Assembly, Rocío Monasterio announced that she is resigning from her position as deputy.
The decision announced today comes after Vox announced yesterday the appointment of José Antonio Fúster as the new provincial president of Vox in Madrid. Today Vox announced that Isabel Pérez Moñino will replace Rocío as Vox spokesperson in the Madrid Assembly. My best wishes to both of them in their new responsibilities.
As I commented when Iván Espinosa de los Monteros left politics, I have known Iván and his wife, Rocío, for years. They have always treated me with great cordiality. I consider them good people and I wish them the best in their lives from now on. Personally, it saddens me that good people like them leave politics, but that's life.
For my part, I would like to remind you again that I am not a member of Vox. This is an independent website with its own ideology. My commitment is to Spain and to the defence of life, liberty and Western civilisation, which is threatened today on several fronts, and I will continue to support those who defend those same principles, starting with Vox. As I have said many times, Vox is the last hope that many Spaniards have left to repair the damage caused by socialism. I will continue to support Vox on the condition that I have always set: that Vox continues to defend the principles that it has been defending since its inception, which coincide with those of Counting Stars.
Finally, I hope that the wretches who have spent years insulting and defaming Rocío do not come now to cover her with praise. Please have at least a little shame. I have defended Rocío for years from these attacks and I do not forget.
