In recent hours, several regions in Spain have been affected by a "cold drop" phenomenon, with heavy rain and flooding.

The heroes of the cold drop disaster in Spain and the shameful coverage by TVE

The most affected regions have been Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Murcia, Andalusia, the Balearic Islands and Castilla-La Mancha. According to Ok Diario, a man has died in Masanasa (Valencia) after being trapped in a flooded garage, and there are seven people missing in the provinces of Albacete and Valencia.

In the following video, published this afternoon by Emergències 112CV, we can see the floods in the Utiel-Requena region (Valencia). In the video you can see a Local Police car being swept away by the strong flood:

In addition to the heavy rain, strong winds have caused havoc on the Mediterranean Highway (A-7), forcing it to close, as well as other communication routes. One of the most terrifying videos is this one posted by @JuanviPalleter (I don't know its original author) in which we see a hurricane-force wind overturning a truck on the A-7 highway:

In this other video shared by María Manjavacas we can see destroyed cars and trucks on the A-7:

Here we can see two photos published by the Firefighters of the Castellón Provincial Council showing a truck that has fallen from a bridge on the AP-7, between Nules and Alquerías del Niño Perdido:

Below these lines, a video published by the Civil Guard that shows the rescue efforts of people affected by the flooding of the Guadalhorce River in Cártama (Málaga):

The Civil Guard has published this other video that shows aerial images of the Guadalhorce River overflowing as it passes through Álora (Málaga). The video shows two high-speed trains stopped before a viaduct. The cold drop has caused railway chaos that has forced the suspension of high-speed trains between Madrid and Valencia and trains between Barcelona and Valencia:

In this other video posted by Rafa Sahuquillo we can see the flood sweeping away private cars in Utiel (Valencia):

The Villa de El Toro City Council (Castellón) has published this image of a tornado that has swept through that town:

Likewise, @meteocastell has released this video showing the effects of the tornado that swept through the town of Alginet (Valencia):

Finally, @worldstormm has published this other video of the tornado passing through Alginet:

My prayers for the deceased man. I hope the missing people can be found alive.

+ UPDATED 10/30/2024 02:23 AM: Unfortunately there is very bad news. At 1:28 AM, the president of the Valencian government, Carlos Mazón, has communicated the following: "We are beginning to access areas where until very recently it was not possible. Unfortunately, lifeless bodies have already been found but out of respect for the families we are not going to give any more details."

You can see here a video of the rescue and evacuation tasks of the Military Emergency Unit (UME) in Requena, Utiel, Chirivella and Alacuás (Valencia).

+ UPDATED 3:41h: An image of Carlet (Valencia) shared by @pasalakua, in which we see vehicles that were swept away by a flood. They have their lights on, indicating that their occupants were surprised by the flood when they were driving these cars.

Below these lines, people who were trapped tonight on the Sendaví bridge in Valencia, due to the floods. A dramatic video posted at 9:58 p.m. by @rafamunozgarcia, one of those affected. They were still there after midnight.

And here is a video shared by @Valencia_WX in which we see the town of Masanasa (Valencia), flooded by the rising Magro River. Many cars have their lights on, indicating again that their occupants were surprised by the flood:
