National Socialism is a totalitarian movement that caused one of the largest genocides recorded throughout history.
The most criminal political movement in history along with communism
We must never forget that National Socialism (a full name that describes the true nature of this movement well, even if we have become accustomed to the abbreviation "Nazism") is the most criminal political movement in history along with Communism. Although some insist on denying it, the two movements emerged from the same ideological trunk, socialism, and both were temporarily allies to divide up half of Europe and crush a Catholic and conservative country like Poland in 1939.
The communist strategy of calling those who disagree 'fascist'
Lately, and as the strategy of calling everyone who disagrees with it "fascist" is having less and less effect (remember that one of the historical figures who most often resorted to this strategy was Stalinist communism, which even called social democrats "social fascists" in the years before Hitler came to power in Germany), the left wing is now adopting another strategy: calling those it knows are not nazis in an attempt to demonize its political rivals.
In the last year in Spain, the left has not only repeatedly branded patriotic organisations as "nazi", as it has been doing again in recent days to discredit associations that are collecting aid for those affected by the cold snap in Spain, but it has even described the State of Israel as "nazi", a state largely made up of Jews who survived the Holocaust perpetrated by Hitler's dictatorship. This is, without a doubt, the most repulsive example of the left's trivialisation and concealment of nazism.
A trivialization of Nazism that conceals the real nazis
I have not chosen my words at random. The left not only trivializes nazism, equating anyone who disagrees with progressive ideology and even a democratic country like Israel with the perpetrators of a horrendous genocide, but also in doing so, it contributes to covering up the real nazis, because there are still some, even if they are fortunately marginal today. Thanks to the left, these nazis can go unnoticed and act with more impunity, because if everyone is a nazi, then no one is.
As I pointed out in August, it is the same system of cover-up that Putinism is enjoying because of those who accuse all conservatives of being Putin sympathizers, although in conservative ranks the rejection of Putin is overwhelmingly majority.
McCarthyism on the Left and its Flirtation with Anti-Semitism
It must be said that this has also happened with communism in the past. This is, for example, what happened with McCarthyism in the United States between 1950 and 1956, when Senator Joseph McCarthy unleashed a witch-hunt that ended up branding anyone as a communist, simply because there was a suspicion or even because they had been falsely accused of being a communist. That witch-hunt made things easier for the real communists in the United States, whose campaigns were more successful in the following decade, taking advantage, in part, of the cover provided by that paranoid campaign.
The new McCarthyism of the left is not only irresponsible, but also very cynical. While branding conservatives as "nazis", the left flirts with anti-Semitism, a hatred of the Jewish people that was and remains the main workhorse of National Socialism. The left has helped to disguise this hate speech by hiding it under the so-called "anti-Zionism", which consists of denying the right to exist of the only Jewish state in the world, demanding of it behaviors that are not demanded of any other democratic country, not even of communist and Islamist dictatorships.
The left sees Nazis everywhere... except in Islamism
We must not forget that of all the global threats of today, Islamist terrorism is the one that has the most similarities with Nazism, due to their common hatred against the Jewish people. In fact, Hitler's dictatorship sought the support of Muslims because it knew that antisemitism was very strong among them.
In that realm, a well-known ally of the Nazis was Hajj Amin al-Husayni, the mufti of Jerusalem, who helped the Nazis recruit Muslims for the Waffen SS. Today, it is curious that the pro-Islamic left in the West sees Nazis everywhere except in the Islamist ranks, where Hitler's "Mein Kampf" remains a very popular book. A detail that this left, which believes it sees Nazis everywhere, coincidentally tends to overlook.
