The Jeju Air Boeing 737 disaster in Muan, South Korea, and its possible causes

This time the crashed plane is a Learjet 55, an ambulance plane with Mexican registration XA-UCI, with serial number 55-032 built in January 1982, belonging to the company Jet Rescue Air Ambulance. According to Flightradar24, the flight took off at 23:06 UTC on January 31 (00:06 CET on February 1) from Philadelphia Northeast Airport and reached a maximum altitude of 1,650 feet (502 meters) at 23:06:54. "Granular ADS-B data shows the aircraft's last message (no position report) reported a vertical speed of -11,008 feet per minute."

This is the crashed plane. The Learjet 55 is a model commonly used as a private jet. The company that owns XA-UCI specializes in medical transport. Jet Rescue Air Ambulance confirmed the following on its LinkedIn channel:

Our immediate concern is for the patient's family, our personnel, their families and other victims that may have been hurt on the ground.

This video shows the fall of the plane, which descended at high speed, almost in a nosedive, until it hit the ground:

Here is another video of the impact, which caused a huge explosion, as the plane was full of fuel when the accident occurred shortly after takeoff:

This other video was recorded from a home security camera. According to Fredrick Van Hook, the plane crashed near a shopping center, the Roosevelt Mall, on Cottman Avenue, located in northeast Philadelphia.

In addition to the occupants of the plane, there may also be victims among those passing by. This is what Cottman Avenue looked like after the accident:

Here we can see a video of how the accident area has been left. According to OSINTdefender, the crash has caused fires and significant damage to several residential structures near the road.

The causes of the accident are currently unknown. I will expand this entry as more information becomes available.
