The Arabian Peninsula is known worldwide for its vast desert areas, as well as for its oil fields.
In the centre of the peninsula, in an area belonging to Saudi Arabia, in the north-eastern part of the great Najd plateau and about 65 km north-west of the country's capital, Riyadh, there is a colossal cliff 800 km long: Jabel Fihrayn, formed by the tectonic movement of the Arabian plate. It is a place that attracts a large number of tourists and is popularly known as the "Edge of the World".
These cliffs are 300 metres high, although in some places they reach 600 metres. These cliffs, which must be reached by jeep, offer impressive views of the desert. Personally, Saudi Arabia is one of the countries I would never consider going to because of its extreme heat (which I hate) and especially because of its lack of religious freedom (I am a Christian).
