The corruption scandals of Spanish socialism and its ineptitude, reflected in the recent national blackout, are cornering Pedro Sánchez.
A socialist government up to its neck in manure
The Spanish are seeing something that is not new. We have experienced it before: the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) turned into a cesspool of political corruption, again, but this time with the wife and brother of the Prime Minister facing legal charges, and with a former minister and until a few years ago Sánchez's right-hand man also charged with corruption and bringing to light the socialist leader's embarrassing private WhatsApp chats, which express his contempt for several senior officials in his party, his far-left partners, and even his Minister of Defense.
In all the years of democracy, never has a prime minister been as up to his neck in the filth of political corruption as Pedro Sánchez, with the corruption scandals involving his family and his party. Add to that the great power blackout of April 28, an event that puts Spain on a par with Cuba and Venezuela, two good examples of the results of socialist recipes. Twenty days have passed and the government still hasn't explained the cause of what happened, but while we wait to find out, we are witnessing railway chaos that highlights the degradation of public services caused by a corrupt socialism, which charges Spaniards luxury taxes to provide a quality of service that increasingly resembles that of a Third World country.
Sánchez uses anti-Semitism to mobilize the most fanatical left
Faced with this situation, Sánchez has done the only thing he knows how to do: confront the Spanish people. It was the strategy already used by the PSOE during the mandates of Felipe González and José Luis Rodríguez Zaparero: polarizing society to mobilize the left and ensure that it is immune to socialist corruption, Sánchez's ineptitude as head of government, the infamous concessions to separatists and the heirs of ETA, and a process of demolition of the rule of law that includes a campaign of harassment from those in power against judges and independent media, the very ones who are bringing socialist corruption to light.
For this polarizing campaign, Sánchez has decided to use a vice that has spread to much of the left: antisemitism. Anti-Semitism disguised as criticism of the State of Israel, a democratic country that is defending itself from the greatest terrorist attack in its history (and the greatest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust). Sánchez demands that Israel treat with care the territory from which the brutal murderers of 1,500 Jews came, including children and babies, the territory in which they celebrated that massacre of Jews and the kidnapping of hundreds of civilians by the anti-Semitic criminals of Hamas.
RTVE releases a message it didn't broadcast about the anti-Semitic Hamas massacre
Yesterday, RTVE, controlled by Sánchez and acting once again as a propaganda organ for the PSOE, decided to politicize the Eurovision gala by broadcasting a minute-long message that appealed to "human rights" and called for "peace and justice for Palestine." RTVE has never broadcast such a message about the victims of the antisemitic Hamas massacre, nor about the women raped and mutilated by Islamists in that attack, nor about the multitude of Israeli citizens who have been murdered for decades in the constant attacks of Palestinian terrorism. RTVE has never broadcast such a message about Ukraine, whose people have been massacred by Russia for three years in an unprovoked invasion. RTVE has also never broadcast any such message about the Christians massacred by Islamist terrorism in countries like Iraq, Syria or Nigeria.
To the above we must add that RTVE has never broadcast a message like this appealing to the human rights of Palestinians tortured and murdered by Hamas, which has ruled the Gaza Strip since 2006 without calling new elections since then, a dictatorship that imposes an Islamic law that discriminates against women, homosexuals and religious minorities, and which led to the expulsion of all Jews who had lived there for a long time. The antisemites at RTVE care as little about human rights as the Palestinians of Gaza, who have been enduring Hamas abuses for years amid the absolute silence of the Western left.
RTVE's silence in the face of abuses by Islamist and communist dictatorships
It must be remembered that the RTVE that yesterday stated "in the face of human rights, silence is not an option" (a phrase that is even misspelled) is the same RTVE that has been obediently silent for years in the face of the abuses and crimes of the dictatorships with which Sánchez associates: communist China, Cuba, Qatar, Iran, the Palestinian National Authority (19 years governing without elections), Egypt (which also imposes a blockade on Gaza without the left saying anything) and Saudi Arabia. RTVE has not dedicated a single black screen to the victims of these dictatorships, nor has it done so with other dictatorships such as Venezuela, Nicaragua, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos and Eritrea, all of them in the hands of the extreme left.
By now, if one thing is very clear, it is that Sánchez and RTVE do not care about the Palestinians or human rights: they are only looking for pretexts to continue promoting antisemitism, using its most modern disguise, anti-Zionism (hatred of the Hebrew people projected against the only Jewish state in the world), because they know that this hatred mobilizes the most fanatical left, which detests Israel for being a liberal democracy and a capitalist country. That is why the left focuses on Israel the same criticism that it never dedicates to communist dictatorships or Islamist dictatorships, about whose atrocities the socialists and communists maintain a sepulchral silence.
The Spanish public gave Israel the highest score in Eurovision
The problem for Sánchez is that the majority of Spaniards reject anti-Semitism, whether it comes from the far left, the far right, or Islamic extremism. Yesterday, Israel's Eurovision contestant, Yuval Raphael, a survivor of the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, had to endure the wrath of the anti-Semitic left in Spain and other countries, but ultimately, the Spanish public gave the highest score to Israel (and in second place to Ukraine, which also I'm glad) and Yuval Raphael was the contestant with the most votes from European viewers, finishing in second place. A resounding failure for Sánchez, for RTVE and for the anti-Semitic left, and a result that shows that the Spanish are better than their petty, Judeophobic rulers.
Kicking out Sánchez and closing RTVE are the next goals
This result should encourage us to work for an even better outcome: Removing Sánchez from power and closing RTVE is no longer just a democratic necessity, but also essential to curb anti-Semitic hatred, a hatred that the left is fueling to mobilize its most fanatical voters and prevent its scandals, incompetence, and abuses of power from taking their toll on the PSOE in the next elections. Antisemitism is always despicable, but promoting it for political opportunism is the height of vileness and indecency. I hope that Sánchez will end up paying, sooner or later, for sinking so low in his eagerness to cling to power at any price.
