Spain has excellent fighter pilots who demonstrate their skills wherever they have the opportunity to take flight.
Last summer, three Spanish Eurofighters from the 14th Wing (the C.16-73 14-73, the C.16-62 14-62 and the C.16-36 14-36), based in Los Llanos (Albacete), flew to RAF Fairford, England, to participate in The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), the world's largest air show. On July 19, the Spanish Air Force published this photo of the Spanish delegation at this important event, which annually brings together some of the world's best aviators.
As I mentioned on July 20, the exhibition of a Spanish Eurofighter caught the attention of several British channels due to the great skill shown by its pilot. The aircraft in question was the C.16-73 14-73, which wore a nice decoration alluding to the NATO Tiger Meets.
This Thursday, RIAT's YouTube channel published a video of this flight, in which Commander Juan Bengoechea "Bengo", 33 years old and who has been flying for 12 years, deserved this comment from the video narrator: "I tell you what, that's the most memorable Typhoon display I've seen in a very long time. Absolutely fantastic."
If you want to see more, Elwyn R posted the following video of that exhibition:
Congratulations to Commander Bengoechea for these well-deserved praises!
