Yesterday a war ended in the Middle East, but we must not forget that another war continues on European soil.

Two statements by Donald Trump that give hope to Ukraine and NATO
NATO must show no more weakness toward Russia: It's time to take down armed intruders

Putin has already made it clear that he does not want peace

Ukraine has been suffering large-scale military aggression by Russia since February 24, 2022. Every week, Putin's dictatorship attacks civilian targets in Ukraine without a single protest in the West from the far left, which falsely accuses Israel of "genocide" but remains silent in the face of Russian crimes against the Ukrainian people.

Putin has already given ample evidence that he does not want peace, continuing a policy of terror against the civilian population of Ukraine that has already claimed numerous victims. The number of Ukrainians killed by Russian terrorism is something that does not seem to matter to many, judging by the attention our politicians and media have paid to the war between Israel and Hamas, while Russia's systematic attacks against Ukraine have ended up being relegated to an almost irrelevant position in the news, despite the fact that this war initiated by the Kremlin is a threat to peace and security in Europe.

Trump says US could offer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine

The US president appears to have definitively changed his policy of appeasement with the Russian dictator. Yesterday, Donald Trump stated that he could offer Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, a weapon that would provide the Ukrainian people with the best possible defense against Russian attacks, which is to destroy their launch sites. The BGM-109 Tomahawk is a missile with a conventional warhead and a range of more than 1,600 km in its most recent versions. Moscow could be within range of Ukrainian forces.

Medvedev issues direct threat against Trump

Following these statements by the US president, the Kremlin's response has been to directly threaten Donald Trump. It has done so through one of its most outspoken spokesmen, Dmitry Medvedev, vice president of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, the body that makes decisions for that dictatorship in the military sphere. Through his Telegram channel, Medvedev declared: "The launch of these missiles could end badly for everyone. And, above all, for Trump himself". This is not the first provocation that Medvedev has launched against the US president, but it has been one of the most direct.

Trump should do precisely what Russia does not want him to do

The war in the Middle East has shown that in the face of a terrorist regime, one cannot show weakness. Contrary to what some believe, who, displaying a clear ignorance of history, still rely on the strategy of appeasement, experience shows that the only way to put a criminal in his place is by force, be it Hitler, Hamas, or Putin. Showing weakness in the face of those who use assassination to achieve political goals is a mistake that only serves to incentivize crime. So, if Russia does not want the US to sell Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, that is precisely what the US must do.

We must not forget that Russia is receiving supplies of military equipment from Iran, North Korea, and China to fuel its aggression against Ukraine. The Kremlin has been threatening the West for several years to stop it from aiding the invaded country. Russia has successively issued threats against the shipment of anti-tank weapons, tanks, fighter jets, surface-to-air missiles, etc. Joe Biden was often intimidated by these threats, absurdly delaying shipments of certain military equipment to Ukraine out of fear of Putin. This fear gave Russia a notable advantage and cost many Ukrainian lives.

Russia's defeat is possible, as Trump has already stated.

After these three years of war, it should be very clear by now that peace will only return to Ukraine with the defeat of Russia and the withdrawal of all invaders from Ukrainian territory. Despite the defeatist messages from Russia's fifth column in the West, such a defeat is possible, as Trump stated in September. So, it's time for the US to show strength and put Russia on the ropes, and right now the best way to do that is by delivering Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. As happened with the Nazis, Putin will only be defeated when this invasion turns against the invading country.
