“Fascists out of Navarre”: the far-left stance of the PSOE

A month and a half ago, 22 police officers were injured by a far-left protest encouraged by the government. As is becoming typical when violence is of this political persuasion, Pedro Sánchez did not condemn these violent acts nor show his solidarity with the police. In fact, that same day, the PSOE, the party Sánchez leads, praised this violent protest organized to disrupt the final stage of the Vuelta a España simply because an Israeli team was participating. In the same vein of encouraging violence, a week later the government pardoned two far-leftists convicted of kicking, punching and shoving police officers in an attempt to disrupt a Vox public event in Zaragoza.

The radicalization of Spanish socialism and its drift toward violence were once again evident this week. On Wednesday, the PSOE delegation commented on a news item about a conference given by journalist Vito Quiles in Pamplona with this phrase: "Fascists out of Navarre." It is the same language used by the far left to demonize dissenters and trample on their fundamental rights.

This is not the first attack the Socialist Party has launched against journalists: it has been doing so for months, a blatant attempt to silence and intimidate the free media investigating the government and PSOE corruption scandals. Yesterday morning, from the Senate, Sánchez again attacked the media outlets he dislikes because they have fulfilled their duty to scrutinize his government.

The PSOE calls the arrival of armed far-leftists “luck”

This Thursday, at 4:34 PM, following the socialist accusation against him, journalist Vito Quiles reported that his conference in Pamplona had to be suspended: "The National Police Headquarters has informed me that it cannot guarantee the safety of the event due to the threat posed by pro-ETA and Basque nationalist groups who have traveled from the Basque Country to Navarre. Police have intercepted 16 knives and razors in a random search carried out in Pamplona on two buses arriving from Bilbao. In Spain, the real danger to freedom, coexistence, and democracy is represented by the radical left."

Instead of condemning this act of coercion, the PSOE delegation in Navarre boasted that violent extremists had prevented a journalist from giving a lecture: "Luckily, you won't break the harmony we've achieved in our land." This scandalous message included a quote from Vito Quiles stating that the police had seized 16 knives and razors from these left-wing extremists. The PSOE attributed the presence of armed far-leftists to "luck" when they disrupted the lecture. And then they'll come and lecture us on democracy.

A few hours later, several hundred far-leftists wearing hoods and balaclavas gathered on the campus of the University of Navarre and began to provoke violent incidents (video from @AuzoNews):

The lukewarm condemnation from the PSOE of Navarre without mentioning the far-leftists

After inciting hatred against a journalist, simply because his ideas did not align with those of the party, the PSOE of Navarre published a lukewarm statement of condemnation, stating: "Hatred and violence will never be the answer. We condemn any violent act that disturbs and fractures our society. We do not need people in our land who promote or support hatred." The violent acts were provoked by the extreme left, but the statement from the PSOE of Navarre did not mention this. It is the typical lukewarm and equidistant attitude that we have seen so many times from the PNV in the face of separatist violence.

While these serious incidents were taking place in Pamplona, ​​Pedro Sánchez and the official PSOE Twitter account remained silent, not uttering a single word of condemnation against these attacks, in which, in addition to the journalist, four police officers were also injured. Incredibly, these acts of violence resulted in only two arrests. Instead, as if the violence they had encouraged mattered little to them (since, after all, those attacked were not left-wing activists), Pedro Sánchez and the PSOE were busy tweeting about the glasses worn by the socialist leader in the Senate:

We are witnessing something very serious. The socialists are exhibiting attitudes that increasingly resemble those of the far left, encouraging violence of that kind and then refusing to condemn it or issuing lukewarm condemnations that speak of violence in general, as if the left had nothing to do with it. Sánchez and the PSOE are setting fire to social harmony and trampling on democracy in Spain, in an increasingly alarming drift that is manifesting itself in attacks on the opposition, judges, and the free media, attacks that ultimately translate into aggressions that the government does not condemn, because, in the end, it is their pro-ETA allies who carry them out.

In case anyone doesn't know, this is exactly what happened in Venezuela during the early years of Hugo Chávez's regime, which ultimately devolved into the horrendous dictatorship it is today. I repeat once again: either we democrats react now, or socialism will reduce our democracy to rubble.
