The universe is an environment whose dimensions and history exceed all the measurements that the human mind is accustomed to handling.
It is estimated that the Big Bang, the phenomenon that gave rise to the universe, occurred more than 13 billion years ago. Studying what has happened since then is a task as fascinating as it is complex, a task facilitated by modern astronomy and by the Hubble and James Webb space telescopes, which allow us to look farther than any ground-based observatory and, therefore, further back in time.
This fascinating question is the subject of the latest video from Melodysheep, a YouTube channel that has been publishing excellent content for years. In this latest video, the channel shows the history of the universe in time-lapse, compressing more than 13 billion years into just 10 minutes, from the Big Bang to the present day. Each second of that history is equivalent to 23 million years. Human beings only represent a fraction of a second in that very long history:
You can see some screenshots from this video here as a preview. The video has impressive visual quality and I think it's an excellent educational resource for schools. Furthermore, that channel is developing a version for planetariums.
