The concentration of military aircraft from various countries at the Zaragoza Air Base

The Zaragoza Air Base, in Spain, is being the scene of a significant concentration of military aircraft of various types during these days.

A week ago we saw here the images of the A-10Cs deployed by the US Air Force (USAF) at that Spanish base, on the occasion of the Defender 23 exercise , whose Swift Response 23 phase is being developed these days with the participation of military forces from Spain and other allied countries. The Zaragoza Air Base is receiving more aircraft than usual these days due to these maneuvers, as we can see in this video published last Saturday by V1 Aeronautics:

You can see below some screenshots of the video, in order to identify the aircraft that appear in it. Here we see a row of three NH-90 transport helicopters and five EC-665 Tigre attack helicopters from the Spanish Army Aeromobile Forces (FAMET). The NH-90s are from the Maneuver Helicopter Battalion III (BHELMA III), based in Agoncillo (La Rioja), and the Tigres are from the Attack Helicopter Battalion No. 1 (BHELA I), based in Almagro (Ciudad Real).

One of the recently refurbished CH-47F Chinook heavy helicopters of the FAMET, specifically the ET-422 (HT.17-22A), belonging to the Transport Helicopter Battalion V (BHELTRA V), based in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid).

Three US Army CH-47Fs , belonging to the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, which is based in Katterbach Kaserne, Germany.

Two USAF A-10Cs. These are the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) 442nd Fighter Wing planes we saw last week. The aircraft on the left carries an AGM-65 Maverick air-to-surface missile under its port wing and an AN/AAQ-28(V)4 target designator under its starboard wing.

A USAF C-130J Super Hercules. It is 48152 (cn 382-5415), belonging to the 815th Airlift Squadron "Flying Jennies" of the 403rd Wing of the AFRC, based at Keesler AFB, Mississippi.

An A400M of the 31st Wing of the Spanish Air Force, the T.23-12/31-32. This unit is based at the Zaragoza Air Base.

A C-130J Super Hercules of the Aeronautica Militare Italiana, number 46-44 (cn 382-5504), belonging to the 2nd Group of the 46th Air Brigade "Silvio Angelucci", based in Pisa.

And finally, the biggest and most impressive plane of all: a USAF Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, 94-0066 of the 62nd Airlift Wing, based at McChord AFB, Washington.
