Life is often in charge of showing us if we are on the right side of history. And that is what is happening in Galicia.

The attack on an association for running a campaign in support of Ukrainian refugees

A few days ago, various media reported on the arrest by the Civil Guard of the head of the "Lourinha Anti-Fascist Committee" (CAL), for making graffiti in favor of Russia at the headquarters of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Mos (AEMOS), in that Galician town in the province of Pontevedra. The graffiti included two letters "Z" and a "Viva Russia" (sic). The aforementioned business association denounced the facts and the Civil Guard began to investigate. The investigation could not have been very complicated, since this violent extreme left group claimed responsibility for its attacks with photos and videos published on your Instagram account.

In a post from March 5, the The far-left group called Ukrainian democracy "nazi-fascist" and "terrorist" and justified its attack on the AEMOS headquarters with a photo of the graffiti and the following words: "All those who collaborate and express their support for Nazism and the war provoked by NATO against Russia, must be publicly flagged", a direct threat against those who support the cause of the Ukrainian people against the Russian invasion.

The CAL described as "criminals" and "exploiters" the members of the aforementioned business association, attacked for carrying out a solidarity aid campaign for Ukrainian refugees. Finally, CAL showed its "support for the Russian special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine", using Kremlin terminology to justify its aggression and war crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation by the Civil Guard against this violent extreme left group brought to light another of its attacks, which occurred in March of last year, when the CAL tore down a banner in support of Ukraine hanging in the Mos City Hall and painted a swastika on it. Once again, this violent group claimed responsibility for their attack with photos and with a video posted on his Instagram account.

Hate messages against Ukraine, the Civil Guard, the Police and the Army

Among the publications of the aforementioned extreme left group there are also support banners for Russia and equating the US, the EU and NATO with nazism and attacking Ukraine. In addition, and to make the judicial horizon darker for this violent group, in 2022 CAL published on its Instagram account a note describing the Civil Guard as a "fascist and terrorist armed organization" and the photo of a graffiti branding the Local Police of Porriño as a "mafia". In 2022 they also made a post calling "military forces of occupation" to the Brigade "Galicia" VII (BRILAT) of the Spanish Army, which has its main base in Pontevedra.

What the media omit: the detainee is investigated for threatening Vox

Curiously, the news published in various media about the arrest of the leader of this violent group omitted that this pro-Russian communist group has dedicated itself to pointing fingers at and threatening Vox. Last year posted a photo of a newsstand for Vox inciting hatred against that party and stating that "he has no right to freedom of expression". But the most serious event came on July 20, when the CAL leader incited to use violence against Vox in a public act.

Vox denounced these events and as a result, Paulo Vila, which is the name of the leader of CAL, was called to testify as being investigated by Investigating Court No. 1 of Vigo, for an alleged crime against fundamental rights, a piece of news that, as usually happens in Galicia, was only published by Contando Estrelas. The far-left group itself has recognized that Paulo Vila is the one detained by the Civil Guard for the attack on the AEMOS headquarters. Vila is a communist and an admirer of dictators such as Stalin, Lenin, Fidel Castro and the North Koreans Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong Un.

Let us remember, by the way, that Vox has been supporting the cause of Ukraine. These facts do nothing more than demonstrate who we are on the right side of history and who prefers to support dictators and criminals, as the extreme left has traditionally done and as it is doing again now with Putin's Russia.
