The media has a habit of giving all kinds of details about the protagonists of a news story, but there are exceptions.

The nationality of the murderers of women in Spain: the fact that silences feminists
Only Vox rejects the regularization of 900,000 illegal immigrants: this is how the others voted

Recently, the news across Spain was of the expulsion of several Israeli citizens from a restaurant in Vigo by a Lebanese innkeeper who gave out a gripo used by Hamas terrorists. The nationality of these customers and their image were widely reported and many accepted their expulsion simply based on this information and the innkeeper's testimony, despite his insults to these customers (recorded by himself, breaking privacy rules).

Things change when we talk about sexual assault. Today, several Galician media outlets reported on the arrest of a man for raping an 18-year-old girl in the Plaza de España in Ferrol. The attacker committed the crime accompanied by three other men: the four of them dragged the girl to an arcade where they raped her. Curiously, and unlike what happens with other crimes, no media outlet has indicated the origin of the arrested man.

There is one piece of information that only appears in two media outlets: La Voz de Galicia and Galiciapress, and it has to do precisely with the origin of the alleged perpetrator of the rape: the detainee has an expulsion order. Other media outlets, based on information provided by Europa Press, have omitted this information. Likewise, Diario de Ferrol points out that the detainee has a criminal record and has participated in violent incidents, even with police officers.

The logical question is: What was that criminal doing on the street, why hadn't his expulsion order been executed yet? And above all, how many more criminals of foreign origin are roaming freely around Spain because Pedro Sánchez's government doesn't feel like expelling them from our country, even if they've committed crimes? Then they'll still complain that the "extreme right" is receiving more and more support. What do they expect to happen when the government allows criminals to enter Spain and stay in our country, flouting immigration law?

+ UPDATE 8.1.2025 11:20 PM: La Voz de Galicia reported at 10:53 PM that the girl who reported the rape in Ferrol has denied the incident and said she made it all up. This is surprising news: so, who caused the "significant injuries" the girl showed up at the hospital with on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday?
