For years, Spain has been suffering the effects of irresponsible immigration policies that disregard the security of the Spanish people.
Yesterday, in the Congress of Deputies, those responsible for these policies were once again exposed. Vox presented an initiative (see PDF) in which it denounced that "between 2018 and 2024, nearly 323,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in Spain", according to official data from the Ministry of the Interior, "while the execution of expulsion orders is minimal". Likewise, Vox denounced the government's approval of the reform of the immigration law approved in April with the sole rejection of Vox and the support of the other parties.
As we saw in April, the initial forecast was to regularize 500,000 illegal immigrants, but the final figure will be much higher. Vox points out: "The fundamental objective of this reform is the massive regularization of 300,000 illegal immigrants per year over the next three years." The party led by Santiago Abascal adds:
"In total, 900,000 illegal immigrants will be regularized as a result of the regulatory change drawn up by the Executive. Thus, the new Regulation makes the figure of "rootedness" extremely flexible, a legal precept that is being used with the fundamental objective of protecting and promoting illegal immigration. Specifically, the period of stay in Spain has been reduced to two years, with the exception of family roots, which do not require it. In this way the requirements demanded to benefit from this figure have been reduced to insignificance."
The Vox initiative called for the repeal of this reform, as well as for ending "the policies of the pull effect and speeding up the processes of deportation of illegal immigrants". It also demanded that the receipt of social assistance be prevented by those who have entered Spain illegally", among other measures. The parliamentary dossier for this initiative can be consulted here. At the end of this dossier are the links to the results of the vote taken yesterday. The results can be read here (PDF).
The initiative was rejected as it only had the support of the 33 Vox deputies. This is how the other parties voted:
In the near future, when Spain suffers the consequences of this massive regularization (which will be the same as those we have already suffered with illegal immigration, especially with the increase in insecurity and various types of crimes), remember what these parties voted for when Vox asked to put a stop to this nonsense.
