The PP participated in a minute of silence which was not observed for Israel

Alfonso Rueda (PP) imitates Pedro Sánchez and joins the hoax about the 'genocide' in Gaza

The Popular Party (PP) continues to fail to take seriously the challenge of becoming a party with a unified discourse throughout Spain, even on international issues.

The facts and data that refute the false accusations of 'genocide' against Israel
The far-left spread the 'genocide' hoax when there were more deaths in Israel than in Gaza

While Isabel Díaz Ayuso makes her support for Israel very clear (something I find worthy of praise), the rest of the party is not so clear and prefers to dedicate itself to one of the PP's traditions: taking a chance. Yesterday, in Congress, the PP participated in a minute of silence for the "genocide" in Gaza, a minute of silence that was not held in the lower house of the Spanish Parliament for the victims of Hamas after the terrorist attack suffered by Israel on October 7, 2023.

The PP regretted that the left excluded the victims of Hamas, but insisted on participating in that sectarian minute of silence based on the hoax that the government is using to cover up its corruption scandals. In the end, as has happened before and in different cases, only the Vox deputies refused to participate in this farce, absenting themselves from the event. My congratulations to Vox.

Something similar has happened in Santiago de Compostela. The Galician People's Party (PP) rejected a proposal by the Nationalist Front (BNG) to condemn the "genocide" in Gaza, a rejection that seems fine to me, since no such genocide exists. It should not be forgotten, moreover, that on July 25, at a public event, the BNG asked for "very strong applause" for a Palestinian terrorist group, the PFLP. Let us also remember that on October 11, 2023, four days after that anti-Semitic massacre, the BNG refused to condemn the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel.

The most absurd thing about this case is that despite rejecting the BNG initiative, PP deputies joined the left's minute of silence in the Galician Parliament, which did not observe a minute of silence for the victims of Hamas. Now, on its official website, this hoax and the PP's participation in it have been reflected by means of a minute of silence. Furthermore, this Wednesday Alfonso Rueda, president of the Xunta, called what is happening in Gaza "genocide", imitating Pedro Sánchez. He has the dubious honor of becoming the first PP leader to repeat this left-wing hoax, a hoax that is serving to favor Hamas terrorists.
