Two weeks ago, the Spanish National Police celebrated the day of their patron saints, the Guardian Angels, in Vigo with a grand parade.
In addition, on the promenade of the Nautical Club, the National Police organized a large exhibition of its resources, which included one of its new Airbus Helicopters H135 P3H helicopters, purchased jointly with a batch of 36 H135s acquired in 2021 for the Navy, the Air Force, the Civil Guard and the National Police.
In total, these events brought together four of these aircraft in Vigo: the EC-OIC Ángel 07 was on display at the exhibition, while three flew at the parade on 2 October: the EC-OEN Ángel 05, the EC-OEZ Ángel 07 and the EC-OLD Ángel 09. Never before had so many National Police helicopters been brought together in this city. It should be noted that these helicopters have civilian registrations, as the National Police is a civilian institution, unlike the Civil Guard, which is a military institution.
The National Police Air Media Service has 25 H135s: 16 EC-135 P2+ and 9 H135 P3H. The latter are part of the batch of 36 aircraft purchased in 2021. The EC135 P2+ is a variant with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW206B2 turboshaft engines of 333 kW (447 SHP), while the H135 P3H carries PW206B3 engines of 336 kW (451 SHP). There are currently more than 1,440 EC-135/H135s in service with over 300 operators in more than 60 countries, according to Airbus data.
At the aforementioned exhibition, I was able to take a series of photos of the EC-OIC Ángel 07, which show this helicopter in great detail. I took these photos primarily with modeling enthusiasts in mind, so they have an accurate representation of what these aircraft look like. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to take photos of the helicopter's interior. You can see the complete series of photos on my Flickr account by clicking here. You can see each photo enlarged by clicking on it.
