This Friday, the newspaper El Debate reports that the Galician Nationalist Bloc (BNG) is using an opaque platform to incite a boycott of the parade. Prominent members of the BNG are involved with this platform. Furthermore, its website indicates that the BNG is one of the organizations that support that entity, in addition to other brands closely linked to the Bloque, such as the CIG union, the communist party Unión do Povo Galego (UPG, the founding nucleus of the BNG), Galiza Nova (its youth organization) and Mulheres Nacionalistas Galegas (MNG, its feminist organization), Erguer (its student group) and the Fundación Galiza Sempre (linked to the BNG).

Significantly, this platform's manifesto contains 11 mentions of NATO, 2 references to the United States, 2 to the European Union, and none to Russia, which has been waging a war of aggression against Ukraine for four years. The only reference to the Russian invasion of Ukraine is to dismiss what they call "a fallacious threat called 'Russian invasion'". There is only one reference to Ukraine, but it is to criticize the military aid sent by the West to that country to defend itself against the Russian invasion. The only protest by this platform related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to its Twitter account, was a demonstration in Ferrol in 2022 to criticize NATO and reject the sending of military aid to Ukraine. The typical positions of the extreme left that favor Moscow's interests.

The protests organized by this platform align with these positions. On March 3, this platform organized protests in several cities against the US and Israeli military operation against Iran. In Santiago, several flags of the Islamist dictatorship of Iran were displayed at the protest called by that platform, in an event that took place in the Plaza del Toural.

As you could also see here, one of the groups that are part of the "Galiza pola Paz" platform is the "Comité Antifascista da Lourinha", a violent far-left group that has been openly supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As we saw here three years ago, a member of that Committee was arrested in 2023 for committing acts of vandalism in support of Russia. The arrest took place as a result of an operation by the Civil Guard after this far-left group attacked the Mos City Hall and a business association because they supported the Ukrainian cause. A curious idea of ​​"pacifism" and "antimilitarism".
