Natalia Oss proposed using 'sleeper' agents to support the riots

A Russian propagandist suggested promoting a 'civil war' in France to weaken Ukraine

When we are faced with events that tend to destabilize a NATO country at a time like this, it is worth asking: who benefits?

The far-left encourages violence in France: says it is 'class struggle' and blames 'the rich'
Military of Belarus, backed by Russia, monitor migration attack on Poland

One of the most pro-Russian parties in France encourages violence

Of course, the fact that serious riots in France benefit the enemies of the West does not mean that they are directly implicated in promoting these events, but it is easy to observe something more than a mere spontaneous outburst when we see one of the most pro-Russian parties in France encouraging violence. On top of that, there are messages that are suspicious and alarming.Once again, the first country to realize this has been Poland, which has suffered greatly from Russia over the last century.

A warning from Poland about possible Russian interference

Last Saturday I read an article by Jakub Maciejewski in wPolityce.pl, a leading Polish conservative daily, which said: "Observers have noticed that the fighting tactics of the revolutionaries have changed, which can sometimes be seeing white leaders among immigrant groups. It is strikingly similar to Lukashenko's immigrant attacks on border facilities or border crossings with Poland: there, too, among dark-skinned newcomers, the European/Russian-looking instigators were in the lead."

Maciejewski added: "Given that the NATO summit in Vilnius will begin on July 11, the current events in France can be seen as a Russian attempt to pressure that country into softening its relatively pro-Ukrainian stance." The Polish journalist added: "The practice of using such groups to foment riots as a tool of influence is absolutely nothing new for the Kremlin. For decades, the Russians have been organizing training camps for terrorists, using the infrastructure erected in Soviet times in third world countries."

"The immigration problem intensifies every time Russia has problems on the Ukrainian front"

The Polish journalist warned: "We also know from the activities of Polish state institutions that the problem of immigration intensifies whenever Russia has problems on the Ukrainian front", and he gave as an example the migratory attacks suffered by Lithuania and Poland in 2021, attacks that were clearly orchestrated by soldiers of Lukashenko, Putin's Belarusian puppet.

In his article, Maciejewski noted: "The susceptibility of Muslim societies to disinformation and Russian provocations is also not a discovery. The world of Islam has become one of the Kremlin's communication channels with the world even after the invasion of Ukraine, for which the Russians use the leaders of their country's Muslim communities". The Polish journalist added something that many in the rest of the West ignore: "Furthermore, since the 1960s, Moscow has won over Muslim leaders through anti-American, anti-Israeli rhetoric or, more broadly, anti-western."

A Russian state agency spreads a hoax against the French Police

I thought about echoing that article in Counting Stars last Sunday, but I preferred to wait for more data. And that data has ended up appearing. This Monday, Elena Karaeva, a prominent Russian pro-Putin propagandist, signed an article in the state agency RIA Novosti in which she was spreading a hoax against the French Police, saying that they are attacking tourists who are walking along the Champs Elysées. Lying is already commonplace in Russian propaganda, but this time it has gone further: that article denied that what happened in France was a riot: "in reality, of course, it is a popular uprising" . A message very similar to the one launched by the pro-Russian ultra-left in France, which calls it "class struggle".

Karaeva seizes the opportunity to equate France with the external image of Russia as a repressive state, as if France imprisoned and killed opponents, as Putin does in Russia, or as if that country NATO imprison people for demonstrating peacefully, as the Kremlin has been doing with those demonstrating against the invasion of Ukraine. The article ended like this: "It is not only possible, but necessary, to look into this abyss of chaos to understand what the collective West was preparing for Russia. They dug a trap for us, but they fell into it themselves." Of course, if Russia has a role in this, their media hides it very poorly.

A Russian pro-government newspaper already spoke of 'civil war' in France in March

As it happens, on March 25, the Russian pro-government daily Pravda.ru he spoke of an "atmosphere of civil war" in France and singled out London as "suspicious". The article resorted to one of the usual arguments of Russian propaganda, hatred of the US and the UK, and pointed fingers at "the Anglo-Saxons", hinting - without providing any evidence - that Britain was behind it. of the protests of the extreme left in France (remember that both are NATO countries). Significantly, this article was signed by Lyubov Stepushova, another well-known Putin propagandist who in March last year threatened Poland with another new invasion.

The message posted by Russian propagandist Natalia Oss last Sunday on her Telegram channel.

A Russian propagandist suggests promoting a 'civil war' in France using 'sleeper' agents

In case the interest of Putin's propagandists in encouraging violence had not already been made very clear, last Sunday Natalia Oss, another well-known Russian propagandist, a contributor to the Russian state media Sputnik and the pro-government daily Gazeta.ru, posted an inflammatory message on her Telegram channel. The message begins as follows:

"About France

I'll just ask. So what, aren't our "sleepers" there? Could Skripal the cat run up there and wag his tail? Help the French a little?"

Let us remember that in the Soviet KGB they called "sleeper agents" to the spies who could spend many years infiltrating the West, leading a normal life, like that of any other citizen, until they were activated to lead out a mission. Natalia Oss's message continues as follows:

"After all, if a NATO country fell into a civil war, our European partners would forget about Ukraine. And the Ukrainians themselves wanted to live like in France. Let the dream come true."

At this point, it seems that the Polish journalist Jakub Maciejewski was not exaggerating in his article on wPolityce.pl when he warned against possible attempts by Russia to destabilize France. If Russian propagandists are already launching these messages in public, what hasn't the Kremlin done in silence?

The support that the Kremlin has been giving to the extreme left in the West

For the rest, we must not forget the support that the Putin regime has been giving to the extreme left in the West for years, in order to destabilize NATO countries. As I already warned three years ago, one of the parties most supported by the Kremlin media was La France Insumise, the same one that now encourages violence in France. Putin doesn't need sleeping spies in France: he already has the far-leftists he has been so supportive of.
