Following the pact between the socialists and the separatists, a very laudable initiative has been launched in defense of the unity of Spain.
This initiative arose from the Rosary that has been prayed on Ferraz Street, Madrid, every afternoon for weeks. A legal and peaceful act that the government has prohibited and tried to repress, generating a broad reaction in the street in defense of one of the most important rights that all human beings have: religious freedom.
I am Catholic and I believe that prayer has enormous value, especially in critical times like the ones we live in, because although the outcome of the current moment depends largely on our actions, asking God That he watches over our Nation and gives us strength to defend it is something very necessary and important, and not because of an act of mere suggestion, but because God acts, sometimes in the most unexpected ways. We can see a precedent for this in an admirable country: in Poland, prayer was one of the most powerful weapons of those who fought against communist tyranny, a fight that was reflected in many public acts of expression of the Catholic faith, which is the great column that has supported the Polish Nation since ancient times.
For this Friday, December 8 - the day of the Immaculate Conception, Patroness of Spain - a National Rosary has been called for the unity of Spain, which will take place in more than 60 cities, as reported today by the Enraizados.org association. You can see the updated list of calls by clicking here. Copio Below are the calls announced at the time of writing these lines (I divide the published list into two parts, the calls from Spain and those from other countries).
