The 2024 Olympic Games have drawn crowds of people to the French capital, many of them to attend official events.
Obviously, attendance at these events is limited. Many have been left out, and others have already opted in advance for an alternative (and somewhat risky) plan in a city subject to unprecedented police surveillance due to this international sporting event. This is the case of some Spanish explorers who managed to find very small accommodation in Paris to see the underground and the rooftops of the city.
Ten days ago, the YouTube channel Okos, known for the high quality of its urban exploration videos, published the images of this adventure. The explorers began by visiting the Paris metro (in areas off-limits to the public), attended a fireworks battle in the city's basement, and finally followed the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games from a rooftop, trying to avoid the police (unsuccessfully, by the way, as the officers kicked them out of the first spot they stood).
Unfortunately, Youtube has imposed an age restriction on the video, so it can only be viewed on that platform by logging in. Here is the link:

As I said, Okos usually makes videos with great image quality, but in this case we see images of outstanding beauty, like the one at the top of this post. You can see here some more screenshots from the video, which is having far fewer views than other videos on that channel due to that restriction. Here we see one of the tunnels of the Paris Metro:
And here is a spectacular image of the underground fireworks battle:
One of the parts of the video that I liked the most, because of my interest in aviation, was the air parade. The large plane that surprised the author of the video is an Airbus A400M Atlas transport plane from the Armée de l'Air.
Visually, the best part comes at the end of the video, with some beautiful images of the opening of the Olympic Games taken from a rooftop near the Eiffel Tower.
