Russia murders civilians again in Izyum while the world looks the other way

The invading forces have carried out a new attack against the civilian population of Ukraine, in a place that has already suffered from Russian terror.

On Tuesday, Russia launched a missile attack on the city of Izyum in Kharkiv Oblast. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the attack partially destroyed the city hall building. In addition, several residential buildings have been damaged. It is worth noting that there are no military facilities in that area, so with this new attack, the Russians were seeking to kill civilians once again.

Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov has said that the Russian strike has killed five people and injured 55. The wounded include a 6-year-old boy and two girls, aged 14 and 16. The 14-year-old girl is in critical condition. Among those killed are a pregnant mother and her unborn baby.

It should be recalled that Russian forces perpetrated a massacre of civilians in Izyum in 2022, in the first months of the large-scale invasion launched by Russia against Ukraine on February 24 of that year. More than 400 graves were found in a forest next to the city, with corpses of men, women and children. The investigation carried out by the Ukrainian authorities revealed that the victims were tied up, tortured and killed.

Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks such as today's in Izyum are becoming less and less of a news item. Many international media outlets no longer publish anything about these acts of terror, and many politicians no longer say anything about them. The most outrageous silence is that of those media outlets, institutions and politicians who have given credence to all the lies of Hamas terrorists in Gaza, but are now silent about Russian terrorist acts in Ukraine. The day will come when much of the world will be ashamed of having watched indifferently these crimes, which in the near future could be repeated in other European countries if Russia is not defeated in Ukraine.
