What happened with the contract with an Israeli arms company, unilaterally cancelled by Pedro Sánchez, could happen again.
Pedro Sánchez's alliance with the Sumar communists is going to be very expensive for Spain. For now, the cancellation of this contract exposes Spain to having to pay its amount without receiving the ammunition. This matter could end up in court for a possible crime of embezzlement, but Sánchez's communist partners are not satisfied with having caused Spain such economic and reputational damage.
A minister who did not condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine or the Hamas attack on Israel
Yesterday, Communist minister Sira Rego warned: "We will not consent to any kind of arms contract with the genocidal state of Israel". This false accusation against the Jewish state was not made by Rego against Russia. Let us also remember that on March 1, 2022, Rego refused to support the European Parliament's condemnation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Furthermore, on October 19, 2023, Rego voted against the European resolution condemning the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel, the greatest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust. These are the kind of partners Sánchez has sought.
A serious threat to national defense
Furthermore, the words of the communist minister pose a threat to important weapons systems that Spain has purchased from Israel or in which Israeli companies participate, such as the Spike anti-tank missiles, the SILAM rocket launchers, the Soltam Cardom mortars and the IAI Searcher drones and Orbiter 3B drones, not to mention the intelligence information and the important collaboration that Israel provides to Spain in the field of cyber defense. In total, Israeli contracts with Spain in the areas of defense and security exceed 1 billion euros.
Obviously, the cancellation of all these programs would pose a serious problem for national defense, a problem that does not seem to concern the anti-Semitic far left, which imposes much more rigorous moral standards on a democratic country like Israel, which is being attacked by terrorists on several fronts, than on communist and Islamist dictatorships with which the Sánchez government maintains friendly ties. Considering what we have seen so far, I have no doubt that Sánchez will give in to his communist partners, because the most important thing for him is his own personal interest and his desire to remain in power at any price.
Friends of dictatorships and enemies of the only democracy in the Middle East
Those of us who are paying the ever-increasing price of Sánchez's stay in power are the Spanish people, we are the hostages of the alliance of socialists and communists that has held the Spanish government since 2020. Spain is the only country in Europe that has communist ministers, that is, supporters of a totalitarian ideology that has killed more than 100 million people. For these fanatics, the bad guys in the movie are not Russia, nor the communist dictatorships of China, North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela, nor the Islamist dictatorship of Iran. For Sánchez's anti-Semitic partners, the great enemy is a democratic country that served as a refuge for Holocaust survivors, a country that is the only true democracy in the Middle East. It's a shame that Spain has such a government.
