He does the same thing as the pro-Russian propagandists with Ukraine

Sánchez whitewashes Hamas by equating Israel, an attacked country, with Russia, an aggressor

Pedro Sánchez once again demonstrated his penchant for lies and manipulation today with a scandalous statement about Eurovision.

Sánchez's double standard: He calls Israel 'genocidal' but not Hamas, Russia, or China
Pedro Sánchez tried to cover up the socialist scandals with antisemitism and it went wrong

Sánchez equates Israel with Russia

Today marks three weeks since the April 28th blackout, the only national blackout suffered by a European Union country. But instead of explaining the causes of this blackout and the railway chaos that Spain is suffering, instead of explaining the corruption cases within his family and his party, Sánchez has started talking about a music festival, and he has done so to showcase his toxic idea of "historical memory."

At a press conference, Sánchez compared Israel to Russia, calling for its expulsion from Eurovision. On Twitter, the Socialist leader summarized his speech with these words:

Spain's commitment to human rights must be constant and consistent, including in Europe. If Russia was required not to participate in Eurovision after the invasion of Ukraine, neither should Israel. We cannot allow double standards, not even in culture.

Sánchez and his curious idea of human rights

To begin with, Sánchez's idea of human rights is clear from seeing his friendly photos with all kinds of dictators, starting with Xi Jinping, the dictator of a totalitarian regime with a communist ideology that has ruled mainland China since 1949 without free elections and has constantly and systematically violated human rights, perpetrating a genocide against the Uighur people, about which Sánchez has said absolutely nothing.

Furthermore, it should be remembered that while falsely accusing Israel of "genocide", Sanchez has not made a single such accusation against Russia. In fact, despite his words of support for Ukraine, Sanchez continues to import Russian gas, thus helping to finance Putin's aggression against the Ukrainian people.

Russia is an aggressor country, Israel is an attacked country

On the other hand, in their respective wars, Russia is the aggressor country, while Israel is the attacked country. It was Russia that invaded Ukraine without any provocation from those invaded on February 24, 2022. Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, perpetrating a genocidal massacre (remember that in its founding charter this terrorist organization proposes the extermination of Jews) against unarmed civilians, including children and babies.

Hamas started this war by perpetrating the largest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and has continued its terrorist activities by using the people of Gaza as human shields, which is a war crime. What Sánchez is doing by presenting the victim as the aggressor is the same thing pro-Russian propagandists are doing by blaming Ukraine for the invasion ordered by Vladimir Putin.

With his statement, Sánchez whitewashes Hamas

With that vile statement, what Sánchez has done today is whitewash Hamas, something intolerable in a democratic country and for which he should resign immediately. Someone who whitewashes the perpetrators of a war and criminalizes the country under attack does not deserve to govern Spain, and by doing so, he puts us on a par with countries like Belarus, Venezuela, and Cuba, which support the aggressors in the Russian invasion of Ukraine by lying about its causes.

Finally, Sánchez's statement about an event from less than two years ago gives an idea of how unreliable his memory is and his propensity to falsify any fact, whether historical or current. One wonders what kind of "historical memory" he champions when he presents an attacked country as the aggressor when talking about an attack that occurred in 2023, as if he believed that we Spaniards were stupid and forgetful enough to no longer remember what happened and swallow his nonsense.
