Putin's jihad: they celebrate the destruction of Mariupol with cries of "Allah is great"

Many admirers of Putin insist on portraying him as a defender of Christianity against Western globalism. But the facts speak for themselves.

Ukraine was a predominantly Christian country. The vast majority of its population is Orthodox Christian, with a significant Greek-Catholic and Evangelical minority. There was also a notable Jewish minority, and even a Muslim community, made up of Tatars, who, as in Poland, have long been well integrated into Western society.

On the contrary, what Putin recruited in the Russian republic of Chechnya at the beginning of the invasion are Islamist fanatics, followers of the dictator Ramzan Kadyrov, a despicable individual who supports polygamy and the imposition of Sharia, who has been accused of torture and murders inside and outside Chechnya, where he is a champion in violations of religious freedompersecuting homosexuals.

Yesterday at noon, Kadyrov posted an embarrassing video on his Telegram channel, showing his Chechen militiamen overjoyed at the destruction of the once-beautiful city of Mariupol. In the video, those Chechen militiamen can be heard shouting "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is Great):

Do those who regard Putin as a great defender of Christianity and Moscow as the third Rome have anything to say to this? Or in the face of this, the only thing that occurs to them is to remain silent, just as they remain silent in the face of events such as the Bucha massacre, the rapes of Ukrainian women by Russian soldiers and other crimes that the invaders are committing in Ukraine?
