Vladimir Putin's dictatorship has launched a new chapter in its strategy of terror against the civilian population of Ukraine today.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this morning that the Russians attacked 30 cities and towns in Ukraine tonight with nearly 300 attack drones and nearly 70 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles:

"The targets were Kyiv and the region, as well as Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions. These were deliberate strikes on ordinary cities. Ordinary residential buildings were destroyed and damaged. In Kyiv, dormitories of the university's history department were hit. There were also strikes on enterprises. Tragically, people were killed, including children. My condolences."

According to the Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Independent, this latest Russian attack on civilian targets has killed 12 people, including three children, and injured more than 60, according to data reported by the Minister of the Interior of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.

Zelensky added:

"Each such terrorist Russian strike is a sufficient reason for new sanctions against Russia. Russia is dragging out this war and continues to kill every day. The world may go on a weekend break, but the war continues, regardless of weekends and weekdays. This cannot be ignored. Silence of America, silence of others around the world only encourage Putin.

Without truly strong pressure on the Russian leadership, this brutality cannot be stopped. Sanctions will certainly help. Determination matters now – the determination of the United States, of European countries, and of all those around the world who seek peace. The world knows all the weaknesses of the Russian economy. The war can be stopped, but only through the necessary force of pressure on Russia. Putin must be forced to think not about launching missiles, but about ending the war."

This latest attack comes days after a new phone call between Trump and Putin, in which the Russian dictator once again tricked the US president to buy time. This situation has been repeating itself continuously since February. So far, Putin has managed to keep Trump from reacting to the continued Russian attacks on Ukraine (so far he has said nothing about last night's attack), giving more credit to the Russian dictator's word than to the facts. Meanwhile, Ukrainian civilians—men, women, and children—continue to be killed, but Trump is exerting most of his pressure on the invaded country, rather than the invader. It is impossible to achieve peace in this way: it only benefits the aggressor.

On the other hand, it is worth adding that the antisemitic far-left, which these days is falsely accusing Israel of committing "genocide" in Gaza, an accusation it did not make against the Hamas terrorists for perpetrating the greatest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust on October 7, 2023, still does not make the same accusation against Putin and Russia for their indiscriminate attacks on the civilian population of Ukraine, a country that, like Israel, is the victim of aggression. This gives us an idea of the concept that these accusers have of human rights: if there are no Jews to accuse, the far-left remains absolutely silent.
