The Land Army Airmobile Forces (FAMET) is the official name given to the Spanish Army's aviation since 1973.

The origins of FAMET date back to July 10, 1965, with the creation of the Army Light Aviation Company (ALET), dependent on the 1st Armored Division "Brunete". Today, this powerful aviation force has more than 100 helicopters, including models dedicated to transport, attack, training, medical evacuation, and reconnaissance missions. Last Sunday, V1 Aeronautics and the Asociación Aire published an excellent video showing part of this fleet of FAMET helicopters at their Coronel Maté Base in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), on the occasion of the rehearsals for the air parade on October 12:

You can see some screenshots here in which I indicate the helicopters that appear in the video and their units.

In this image we see an EC-665 Tigre attack helicopter (left) and an NH-90 transport helicopter. The 24 EC-665 Tigres of the FAMET are assigned to the Attack Helicopter Battalion I (BHELA I), based in Almagro (Ciudad Real). The model seen here is the Tigre HAD-E (Attack and Destruction Helicopter), armed with two Spike ER anti-tank missiles, two 70 mm SNEB rocket launchers (with a capacity for seven rockets each) and an external fuel tank. The 16 NH-90s (the fleet will eventually have 26 units) of the FAMET are assigned to the Manoeuvre Helicopter Battalion III (BHELMA III), based in Agoncillo (La Rioja).

An EC-135 T2+ utility helicopter. The FAMET has 16 helicopters of this type, 12 of which (the so-called HE.26) are assigned to the Army Aviation Academy (ACAVIET), based in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), as training helicopters.

Another EC-135 T2+ helicopter, in this case one of the four units designated as HU.26 and operated by the Second Emergency Helicopter Battalion (BHELEME II) from Colmenar Viejo and flying under the operational command of the Military Emergency Unit (UME). They are used in transport, air command post, and rescue missions. They are recognizable by their striking red and yellow livery.

The CH-47F Chinook is the largest helicopter in the FAMET and also the largest military helicopter operated by Spain. It is a heavy transport helicopter. The FAMET has 17 units, recently upgraded from the Delta version to the Foxtrot version, and is awaiting one more. They are part of the 5th Transport Helicopter Battalion (BHELTRA V), based in Colmenar Viejo.

At the end of the video we see an AS-332 Super Puma medium transport helicopter from the FAMET Headquarters Battalion (BCGFAMET) in Colmenar Viejo. The FAMET has 15 units of this already veteran model spread over three units: the aforementioned BCGFAMET, the Maneuver Helicopter Battalion IV (BHELMA IV) in El Copero (Seville) and the Maneuver Helicopter Battalion VI (BHELMA VI) in Los Rodeos (Tenerife) and the FAMET Headquarters Battalion (BCGFAMET). In addition, the FAMET has 17 units of the AS-532UL Cougar, the successor to the Super Puma, which are operated by the Maneuver Helicopter Battalions III and IV (BHELMA III and BHELMA IV). The FAMET also has three units of the AS-532AL variant, operated by the Second Emergency Helicopter Battalion (BHELEME II) from Bétera (Valencia).
