At NATO special operations exercise Trojan Footprint 24

Images of Spanish soldiers of the Naval Special Warfare Force (FGNE) in Georgia

Last week we saw here images from NATO's Trojan Footprint 24 exercise in Georgia, a special operations exercise.

Special operations soldiers from Spain in an exercise in Batumi, Georgia
These are the soldiers and the training of the FGNE, the elite unit of the Spanish Navy

This exercise, called Trojan Footprint 24, is part of the large Steadfast Defender 2024 maneuvers that NATO is organizing in several countries. As we saw then, the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and the Efe agency communicated the presence of Spanish soldiers in that exercise, along with members of special operations units from Georgia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland and Romania .

The Spanish Armed Forces have not published anything about it and the photos that you could see in Defense and Aviation appeared on the DVIDShub.net multimedia portal of the US Armed Forces, but with the insignia of the operators pixelated, so it was difficult to know which unit they belonged to. After searching a little, today I found a video published by the Georgian Ministry of Defense on March 13 in which we see images ofSpanish special operations soldiers in the visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) exercise )on board the Cadet training ship of the Batumi State Maritime Academy:

The images we saw the other day are from this same VBSS exercise. You can see some screenshots from the video here:

The moment of boarding by Spanish operators on a semi-rigid boat (RHIB). On the left we can see a Georgian patrol boat that had operators from the Georgian Special Operations Forces on board.

Spanish operators boarding the ship. They wear uniforms with Multicam camouflage, like the Georgian operators.

A Spanish operator with a Heckler & Koch HK416A5 carbine of 5.56 mm caliber. The emblem that he wears on his right arm appeared pixelated in the photos published by DVIDShub.net. It is the patch used by the First Estol "Comandos" of the Special Naval Warfare Force (FGNE), the special operations unit of the Spanish Navy. This operator wears a patch with the shield of Spain on his helmet.

Another Spanish FGNE operator taking one of the Georgian crew members of the "Cadet" into custody.

Two Spanish operators from the FGNE and a Georgian operator. The Spanish operator on the right is carrying an HK416A5. The Georgian operator is aiming at the door with an M-4 carbine.

Two Spanish operators from the FGNE. In the video they can be heard speaking in Spanish. On the arm of the soldier on the left we see more clearly the patch of the First Estol "Commandos": a pike with a skull.
