The Spanish Air Force sent three fighters to the Royal International Air Tattoo

The acrobatics of a Spanish EF-18 fighter of the 15th Wing at an airshow in the United Kingdom

The Spanish Air Force returned this year to the Royal International Ait Tattoo (RIAT), at RAF Fairford, which was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

That British airshow is one of the biggest in the world, and Spanish Air Force planes have been at it for many years. On this occasion, the 15th Wing, based in Zaragoza, sent three aircraft: two EF-18M single-seaters (the C.15-21 15-08 and the C.15-27 15-14) and a two-seater EF-18B ( CE.15-7 15-76). As you may remember, in May we saw the process of decorating the drifts of the C.15-21 15-08 for the NATO Tiger Meet, with a tiger on its outer faces and a motif alluding to the 35th anniversary of Wing 15 on its interiors faces. It is the plane that heads this entry in an excellent photo by Paul Dibben.

In this photo by Derek Small we can see the three Spanish fighters arriving at RAF Fairford Air Base last Thursday for their participation in the RIAT. As can be seen in the image, two of them had external fuel tanks with the typical tiger stripes decoration of the NATO Tiger Meets. Below we can see four excellent photos of the spotter Cheng Peng released by the Spanish Air Force and showing the Spanish single-seat fighters upon arrival in the United Kingdom.

The C.15-21 15-08 made an air show during the RIAT, demonstrating the maneuvers that this already veteran but excellent fighter can do. Elwyn R recorded the acrobatics of the Spanish EF-18M in this video:

The YouTube channel Cpockett has also published a video of the exhibition of this Spanish fighter, showing its takeoff and landing:
