They do everything they can to scare off investors and then they get shocked

Ferrovial and the cynical appeal to patriotism so that people do not flee from socialism

This Wednesday news was released that is a clear indicator of the economic situation in Spain and, above all, of the lack of confidence that its government inspires.

Ferrovial will move its headquarters to the Netherlands

As indicated by Europa Press, Ferrovial's board of directors has proposed a merger between the parent company and Ferrovial International, a Dutch company that already owns 86% of the company's assets. This would imply the transfer of the company's registered office from Spain to the Netherlands. In addition, Ferrovial has informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) that it will request double admission to trading in that country, also listed in Spain, to subsequently also list in the United States.

The news has caused a political earthquake that rivals the prostitution scandal affecting the Socialist Party (PSOE). As might be expected, instead of seriously reflecting on the causes of Ferrovial's decision, the leftist government and its related media have launched into attacking the company, as if they thought it was a good idea to threaten investors so that they do not leave Spain.

The cynical appeal of Podemos to patriotism

Among the statements made by the government, there are two that demonstrate the enormous degree of cynicism of the Spanish left. First of all, the communists of Podemos have accused Ferrovial of being "unpatriotic", an accusation that sounds like a bad joke coming from a party that has been branding as "fascist" anyone who exhibits a pinch of patriotism, at the same time that it has sought its allies among the parties that have hatred of Spain as their ideological flag. Among the ranks of Podemos, the most absurd statement has been made by one of its ministers: Ione Belarra has called for an end to "tax havens" in the European Union to prevent companies from fleeing Spain.

The Spaniards pushed to emigrate, are they also 'unpatriotic'?

One wonders if the next ones designated as "unpatriotic" by the government have been the Spaniards who have had to go find work abroad because Spain is the country with the most unemployment in the EU: a rate of 12.5% (double the community average) which rises to 32.2% in the case of young people. The only thing this government has done to lower unemployment is try to make up its figures, creating the figure of "discontinuous permanent" to hide more than 600,000 unemployed. For the rest, all the actions of this government have been aimed at destroying jobs and scaring away investors who create wealth and jobs.

The left wants to export its fiscal hell so there is no escape

As it has already done in so many other countries, the left-wing has turned Spain into a tax hell, and they want all other countries to be so so that people have no escape. What can be criticized is not that there are havens fiscal, as those who offer low taxes to attract investors are often called.

What can be criticized is that there are tax hells like the one promoted by the government of Pedro Sánchez, which in addition to putting all possible difficulties and obstacles for companies to generate wealth and employment, has also created a situation of serious legal insecurity with its attacks on the Rule of Law, especially with its attempt to liquidate the independence of Justice, but also with its assault on all the independent institutions that were within reach. The left-wing has Spain has become a hostile terrain for investors and now it complains that they flee. What did you expect to happen?

The same ones that turned entire countries into political hells

Appealing to patriotism to demand that people not flee the fiscal hell that socialism has created is something as cynical as the pseudo-patriotic speeches of socialist dictatorships to prevent people from wanting to flee their political hell. And it is that if something has characterized socialism since its appearance, it is its effort to create unbearable living conditions for the people.

Socialists always say that they are going to favor the poor and in the end all they do is promote misery, with some economic recipes that are only designed to benefit the socialist elite itself, often through plots of corruption such as those that have plagued Spanish socialism for decades. The absurd thing is that there is a part of the right that does not even dare to question this ideological model that destroys our freedoms and our prosperity, and all for fear of being branded as "fascist" by a left that It has a great similarity to fascism: its desire to make the State control everything, always with disastrous consequences.
