Mélenchon refused to condemn Hamas terrorist attack against Israel

The 'cordon sanitaire' against the 'far-right' has handed France over to an anti-Semite

For years now, a large part of the European political class has been raising alarm bells against what they describe as the "extreme right."

France and the dangerous whitening of the anti-Semitic and anti-democratic far-left
A report by a European NGO uncovers the new antisemitism of the far-left

When many people hear that expression, what they imagine is parades of brown shirts with red armbands and a swastika. However, this "extreme right" that some have warned against for years has nothing to do with Nazism. In fact, they often call "extreme right" to a conservative right that is democratic and has sympathy for Israel, something unthinkable in the authentic extreme right, which has traditionally been antidemocratic and anti-Semitic.

The antisemitism of the French extreme left

Last year, a European NGO published a study that indicates that of the 20 European parties most hostile to Israel, 17 are from The Left, the extreme left group in the European Parliament. In case anyone has not noticed this information, according to that report the most anti-Israel party in France is La France Insoumise, led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

This hatred of Israel usually goes hand in hand with hatred of Jews, and the French extreme left is no exception. Nine months ago, when Hamas perpetrated the largest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust, Mélenchon refused to condemn that massacre and refused to label Hamas terrorists as "terrorists." Thus, the torture and murder of hundreds of people, the act of burning alive entire families (including children and babies) and raping women in droves for being Jewish is something that, according to Mélenchon, It does not deserve any condemnation and cannot be classified as terrorism.

Macron's betrayal of the Jewish community by allying himself with the far-left

Let us keep in mind that over the last year, acts of anti-Semitism have quadrupled in France, a wave of hatred of Jews unprecedented since the Second World War. This anti-Semitic wave, largely fueled by the extreme left and Islamism - nourished by the massive immigration arriving in France from Muslim countries - caused many Jews to have decided to vote for the party of Le Pen, something unthinkable years ago.

Currently, some 50,000 French Jews are considering leaving their country and emigrating to Israel due to this wave of anti-Semitism in France. In recent days, the French Jewish community has indignantly attended Macron's support for the anti-Semitic far-left, a gesture that they consider a betrayal by the current president of the Republic against the Jews . Let us remember that a few months ago, Mélenchon's party did not want to attend the French marches against anti-Semitism, called to show French society's rejection of this wave of hatred. Once again, it was clear that anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism are the same thing.

The victory of the anti-Semitic far-left thanks to Macron

Yesterday, the second round of the French legislative elections culminated in a victory for Mélenchon's anti-Semitic extreme left, thanks to the support received from Macron's coalition in many constituencies, in which the candidates of the French president's formation withdrew to concentrate the votes on the far-left New Popular Front (NFP). Thus, Macron's "cordon sanitaire" against the "far-right" meant handing over France to an anti-Semite, to a fanatic who did not want to condemn the largest massacre suffered by Jews since the Second World War, to an extremist who does not condemn Hamas terrorism and who has been encouraging violence on the streets of France in recent months.

Does "moderation" and "democratic values" mean putting France in the hands of a fanatic who hates Jews and whitewashes terrorists? Of course, there are reasons to point out the mistakes made by the party by Le Pen (I already pointed out some here), but that the theater of warning against a false "extreme right" has given victory to an anti-Semite and ally of Islamis something for which a large part of the French political class and the rest of Europe, and also many media, should feel ashamed.
