Shameful note from the PCE, a party that is part of Sánchez's government

A Kafkaesque communist statement mourning the fall of the brutal dictator Assad in Syria

There are people who claim that the Cold War is a thing of the past and that ideologies no longer exist, but there is one thing that has not changed.

Syria confirms the geostrategic suicide of Russia and Iran with their attacks on Ukraine and Israel
The communists do for Russia and Hamas what they already did for Nazi Germany in 1940

Communists follow Moscow's orders as in the Cold War

That thing is the following of the communist parties to the guidelines of Moscow. It is something that we have been seeing for years in the case of Ukraine, not only since the large-scale invasion launched on February 24, 2022 by Moscow, but since the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014. The Russian Federation is the heir of the USSR for legal and also political purposes, and many communists continue to act as if Joseph Stalin were still issuing slogans from his dacha in Kuntsevo.

The PCE mourns the fall of Assad and says nothing about his atrocities

Let's look at an example. Yesterday, the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) published a Kafkaesque statement lamenting the fall of dictator Bashar al-Assad in Syria and his flight to Russia. The PCE describes the end of that dictatorship as "a devastating blow to progressive and leftist forces around the world" and "the collapse of a bulwark of resistance against the powers that seek to impose their dominance over the region."

Significantly, the PCE says nothing about Assad's use of chemical weapons (sarin gas) against his own people, nor about his alliance with Hezbollah terrorists (an Islamist group whose members are known for use the fascist salute) nor about its alliance with the Islamist dictatorship of Iran, which hangs homosexuals and punishes women with 74 lashes for not wearing the veil. Could these be the "progressive forces" to which the PCE refers?

The PCE criticizes Israel and the US but not Russia or Iran

The fifth paragraph of the statement is the most amusing. The PCE criticizes the "interference of powers such as Israel, the United States and Turkey" in Syria, but says nothing about Russia and Iran, two dictatorships that have sent military contingents to that country (and also criminals such as the Wagner Group mercenaries and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps). The PCE takes the opportunity to criticize the "authorization by the US to Ukraine to use long-range American missiles against Russia", without saying that this authorization is limited to using these weapons against military bases from which Russia attacks the civilian population of Ukraine. The PCE does not say a word about the Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilians, nor does it criticize the Russian invasion of Ukraine itself.

Pedro Sánchez has members of the PCE in his government

That rubbish statement would be funny if we were talking about a group of far-left freaks who seem to be imitating an episode of Monty Python's "Life of Brian", but the PCE is part of Pedro Sánchez's government. Vice President Yolanda Díaz and Minister Sira Rego are members of the PCE, and Minister Pablo Bustinduy participated in the PCE party in September. So, Spain has in its government members of a party who mourn the fall of a dictator who gassed his own people and who was allied with the terrorists of Hezbollah and with the terrorist regimes of Moscow and Tehran. But then they tell you that the "extremists" are those of Vox...
