A perverse coherence: in both cases they are favoring the aggressors

The far-left wanted Ukraine to allow itself to be humiliated, but rejects that for Hamas

For years I have been denouncing that the far left promotes a pacifism that always benefits the aggressors.

After accusing Israel of 'genocide,' Podemos strengthens ties with the most genocidal party
Sánchez equates Israel, an attacked country, with Russia but doesn't accuse Putin of 'genocide'

Once again, this has been confirmed. Yesterday, Donald Trump unveiled a peace plan for Gaza that has the support of Israel and Muslim countries (the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan), and it has even been welcomed by the Palestinian Authority, controlled by Fatah, Hamas's rivals. Trump has said the plan includes the release of the 48 Israeli hostages still held by Hamas and "to decommission the military capabilities of Hamas and all other terror organizations."

Trump has given Hamas three to four days to accept the plan. If it does not accept, the US president will give Israel the go-ahead to continue its military operations in Gaza until it achieves its objectives, which include the release of the hostages and the destruction of Hamas. So far, the news is that Hamas is considering it and Islamic Jihad has rejected Trump's plan, which would mean that the war would continue with the sole responsibility of the Palestinian terrorists, who started this conflict with their attack on Israel in 2023.

Curiously, the Spanish coalition government of socialists and communists led by Pedro Sánchez has split on this issue. The socialists accept the peace plan, while the communists of Sumar reject it. The communists' rejection was predictable. Let's keep in mind that Sumar is the new electoral brand of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), a far-left organization sister to the Palestinian terrorists of the PFLP, who two years ago openly supported the Hamas attack against Israel, the worst massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Let us remember that Sumar voted against the European resolution condemning that Hamas terrorist attack on October 19, 2023.

Sumar is not the only Spanish communist organization that has rejected this plan. Podemos has described Trump's peace proposal as a "plan for colonial domination", joining the few voices that reject this attempt to end this war. The case of Podemos is very revealing. In 2022, Pablo Iglesias, founder of that party and one of the Podemos members who visited communist China last week, made statements on Cadena SER in which he asked to stop sending weapons to Ukraine and said that "any solution, no matter how humiliating, is preferable to a massacre".

That statement left no room for doubt: the founder of Podemos wanted Ukraine to surrender to the invaders to avoid "a carnage", without explaining that the Russians would have perpetrated such a carnage anyway after a surrender, just as Hamas terrorists perpetrated a massacre against Israel when there was no war underway in the region. However, when it is proposed that Hamas terrorists allow themselves to be humiliated in order to end a bloody war that they themselves started, a war in which Hamas and Islamic Jihad have been using civilians in Gaza as human shields without the far left criticizing this war crime, then the Spanish communists get angry and reject the proposal.

It must be recognized, however, that the extreme left is consistent in its attitude, a perverse inconsistency, but a consistency that shows that it is very clear about which side it is on in both wars: in both Israel and Ukraine, the communists favor the aggressors, those who started both wars and those who - consequently - are the most responsible for all the pain and death caused by those wars. Let us remember that in 2022 the Spanish far-left refused to condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine (the communist Sira Rego, current minister of Sumar, abstained) and in 2023 it also refused to condemn the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel.
