La cornisa norte de España es una zona muy montañosa, con lugares espectaculares que parecen estar esperando ser hallado.
I am from Galicia, the most beautiful region in Spain (modestly speaking, hehe), although I admit that I have great appreciation for neighboring Asturias, which has landscapes that seem to be taken from a fairy tale. A few years ago days, Hilux Aventura posted a video showing two of those magical places from his Asturian land.
One of them is an old spa in ruins opened in 1888. From the data provided by the video, I have managed to identify that it is the Fontoria Spa, in Cangas del Narcea, which was abandoned in the second half of the 20th century. The second part of the video shows an abandoned village with impressive stone houses, some of them in ruins, and the typical hórreos and paneras of Asturias, where food was stored to keep it safe from vermin and humidity (the video is in Spanish, you can activate the automatic subtitles in English in the bottom bar of the player):
You can see some screenshots of this video here. Here we see the resort, which was on the banks of the Arganza river.
An image of the abandoned town, with the typical and solid stone houses of Asturian mountain architecture.
Here we have a panera, as the hórreos with the largest capacity are known in Asturias, rectangular in shape and usually decorated with typical motifs of that land.
Another panera, seen from below. This one is in worse shape.
