This blog has been denouncing the crimes of the Russian dictator for 16 years

New hoax from the deputy director of El Plural, now attacking Counting Stars: “Putin pays”

This blog is about to turn 20 years old, and in all this time it has suffered attacks and hoaxes of all possible kinds.

The Russian plot of the 2017 separatist coup explodes against Sánchez and some others
What Sánchez already knew about the Russian plot when he offered amnesty to Puigdemont

José María Garrido believes that this blog is paid for by Putin

The last hoax came last night. It is signed by José María Garrido, deputy director of El Plural, the socialist pamphlet related to the Sánchez government that this week made a fool of itself with an attack on Judge Peinado, who is handling the trial for corruption against the wife of Pedro Sánchez. At 1:00 a.m. CET, Garrido published a message on Twitter attacking this blog, in a way that I find very funny, in a response to a tweet from a user who shared an article in English that I published this Monday about El Plural: "What power is that of The Anvil, which even translates its moves into English. Of course, Putin pays".

Throwing two hoaxes in such a short tweet has merit, eh? First of all, this is Counting Stars, not The Anvil, nor the Hammer nor the No Homer Club. If Garrido can't tell the difference, I suggest him go to an eye doctor or another specialist who also deals with things that are in the head. For the rest, this habit of launching conspiracy accusations against political and ideological rivals - something that is beginning to be very frequent on the Spanish left - is something as pathetic as the tendency of some people to call "Jew" or "reptilian" to others because they don't like their opinions. Those who are portrayed with these stupidities are those who launch them, and not those who suffer them.

This blog has been denouncing Putin's lies and crimes for 16 years

For the rest, Garrido is not only wrong to falsely link me to Putin, but this defamation also makes me laugh, as it surely will to those who are regular readers of this blog. Garrido didn't even bother to check that in my Twitter account I have the flag of Ukraine (it has been there for more than two years, since the beginning of the Russian invasion).

So far, on this blog, I have published 256 articles about Putin (they can be found here). I haven't been writing about that guy for a few months or a few years. In August 10, 2008, my first article about Putin was to denounce the Russian invasion of Georgia and to point out that Putin had returned Russia to dictatorship status.

I have been writing articles against Putin for 16 years, which surely makes me one of the Spanish authors who have dedicated the most time and effort to denouncing that dictator. There are 16 years of denouncing Putin's lies, abuses and crimes in Spanish, in English, in Polish and in Ukrainian.

In all this time, and throughout the numerous articles I have written about that bastard, I have described Putin with words like "despot", "dictator", " tyrant", "miserable murderer", "criminal" and "terrorist". Garrido's conclusion: "Putin pays."

Garrido was already convicted in 2012 for false news about Alcaraz

So, either Garrido is lying, making that false accusation knowing that it is not true, or he is a dim-witted guy who believes that the Russian dictator finances a Spanish blog that has been criticizing him and denouncing their crimes for 16 years. Be that as it may, making false accusations can have negative consequences for Mr. Garrido. In 2012 the Supreme Court already condemned to Garrido and El Plural for false information about Francisco José Alcaraz. Twelve years later they seem to have not been taught this judicial sentence.

The Plural attacks the judge investigating the Russian plot of the 'procés'

Finally, one of the things I have been denouncing about Putin for years is the Russian plot of the 2017 separatist coup, a plot that the Sánchez government intends to bury with its amnesty law. As a medium related to the government that it is, this Monday El Plural he started throwing trash against the judge investigating that plot, joining the campaign launched by the pro-Russian website Diario Red. A great favor to Putin that I don't know if it is free or not (unlike Garrido and El Plural, I do not make accusations without verifying the facts).
