The Spanish socialist leader puts his wife's affairs above the Nation
Does Pedro Sánchez put his wife above the deserved respect of the entire Spanish Nation? That seems to indicate his trajectory.
The cynicism of the Sánchez Govt: it insults Javier Milei and now it pretends to be offended
Javier Milei's forceful response to the defamation of a minister of Pedro Sánchez
What happened yesterday in Spain is something unusual: a government demanding an apology from the Argentine head of state for an allusion to a private person, since Begoña Gómez, the wife of Pedro Sánchez, does not have any public office. And all that after the government itself insulted Javier Milei, insinuating that he is a drug addict and calling him a "fascist", without him having expressed any apology for it.
This new theater by Sánchez and his government is an overacting that provokes a logical question: when have they done this in response to offenses against Spain? Let's review some examples:
- In March 2019, the president of Mexico, the far-leftist López Obrador, attacks Spain demanding an apology for the Conquest of Mexico. The government of Pedro Sánchez does not issue any complaints.
- On December 10, 2020, the prime minister of Morocco says that Ceuta and Melilla are Moroccan. The Sánchez government takes 11 days to react and is limited to summoning the Moroccan ambassador, without publicly demanding an apology or threatening further action.
- On July 28, 2021, the communist Pedro Castillo attacks Spain during his investiture speech as president of Peru, and He also does so in the presence of the King of Spain Felipe VI. The government of Pedro Sánchez does not issue any complaints.
- In March 2022 the news broke that Morocco appropriates Ceuta and Melilla on the maps of its embassies. The Sánchez government does absolutely nothing about it.
- On April 7, 2022, Sánchez travels to Morocco and there he is received with an upside-down Spanish flag, a sign of surrender. The Sánchez government does not issue any complaint for this offense.
- On April 8, 2023, the president of the Moroccan Senate claims Ceuta and Melilla, in a new provocation against Spain. The Sánchez government does not initiate any diplomatic crisis and limits itself to reply, two days later and through the Minister of Defense, stating that "Ceuta and Melilla are Spanish; there is nothing more to discuss."
- On May 27, 2023, the news became known that Morocco refers to Ceuta and Melilla as "Moroccan cities" in an official letter addressed to the European Commission. The Sánchez government does not initiate any diplomatic crisis because of this. Sánchez takes 12 days to comment on the matter, during an intervention in Congress.
- In August 2023, a new controversy arises due to a map from the Moroccan embassy in Spain showing Ceuta and Melilla as Moroccan. The president of Melilla asks the Spanish government to act on this matter. The Sánchez government does nothing. A few months later, in a vote in Congress, Vox is left alone asking the government to demand that Morocco recognize that Ceuta and Melillas are Spanish . The government parties, PSOE and Sumar, vote against.
Judging by these facts, it can be deduced that Pedro Sánchez puts his wife's affairs above the Nation, something that is criticizable and especially when these matters have given rise to a judicial process for a case of corruption. Is this scandal what Sánchez intends to cover up with his overacting against Milei?
