Pedro Sánchez is going further and further to cover up socialist corruption

Spain: a European government at the service of Hamas terrorists propaganda

Pedro Sánchez's government is leading Spain down an increasingly dangerous path with its extremist drift in foreign policy.

Sánchez does Hamas new favors on the same day that Hamas murders a Spaniard
Sánchez whitewashes Hamas by equating Israel, an attacked country, with Russia, an aggressor

The Sánchez government has been doing favors to Hamas and whitewashing that terrorist organization, whose false casualty figures in the Gaza war have been disseminated by the Efe agency, controlled by the Spanish government, without any critical analysis and often hiding the real source of that data.

This Thursday, Sánchez took another step in that extremist strategy attacking Israel for arresting a Palestinian citizen, Saif Abu Keshek, who was participating in the latest provocation flotilla by the extreme left against that Middle Eastern country. Sánchez omitted the fact that the detainee belongs to the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA), as Dan Poraz, Minister Counselor at the Israeli Embassy in Spain, pointed out yesterday. He noted that the PPCA is "linked to Hamas and designated as a terrorist organization by various countries. That is why it was also arrested and expelled from Egypt."

On September 30, 2025, the Israeli Foreign Ministry released two documents indicating direct links between the PCPA and Hamas. The documents were found by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip. The first is a 2021 letter signed by Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, endorsing the PCPA.

The second official Hamas document is a list of PCPA operatives, some of whom are high-ranking and well-known Hamas members. "Among the names on the list are Zaher Birawi, who serves as Head of the PCPA’s Hamas sector in the UK, and who is known as a leader of the demonstration flotillas to the Gaza Strip over the past 15 years (number 19 in the document), and Saif Abu Kashk (number 25 in the document), an operative from the organization in Spain. This document was found in a Hamas outpost in the Gaza Strip and proves again their direct connection between the flotilla leaders and Hamas," Israel stated.

The PCPA was declared a terrorist organization by Israel in 2021 for its links to Hamas. Regarding the documents proving the PCPA's links to Hamas, it should be noted that Hamas is classified as a terrorist organization by the European Union, the Organization of American States, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Argentina, Paraguay and Costa Rica.

On January 21, 2026, the U.S. Department of the Treasury: "The PCPA is also clandestinely acting on behalf of Hamas. As a front organization for Hamas, it operates in accordance with Hamas directives and was established and managed by operatives from Hamas’s Bureau of International Relations, which at the time was led by Mussa Abu Marzouq." The Treasury Department added:

"On April 19, 2018, Ismail Haniyeh signed a letter addressed to the Hamas Political Bureau that outlined his guidance for how Hamas should take control over the Palestinian political process. One element of this plan was to escalate violence against Israel. The other was to boost Hamas’s international outreach, with the PCPA identified as a core part of this strategy. However, Hamas’s links to the PCPA predated Haniyeh’s letter. Hamas also helped fund the inaugural meeting of the PCPA and provided $100,000 for this conference. The goal of the PCPA, and the reason behind Hamas’s secret links to the organization, is for Hamas to clandestinely expand its political influence through a group that purportedly represents the interests of the Palestinian diaspora."

Likewise, the Treasury Department noted: "The PCPA does not only work with, and in support of, Hamas—it operates at Hamas’s behest. The strategic and tactical aspects of the PCPA’s activity are controlled by Hamas through the placement of key Hamas-linked figures in major positions throughout the organization."

Sánchez decided to use hatred of Israel as a smokescreen to cover up the serious corruption scandals affecting people in his personal circle (including his wife), his government, and his party. Sánchez's strategy is to distract attention from these scandals by focusing on his attacks against the Jewish state, a strategy that has included authorizing a march called by a Palestinian terrorist group in Madrid in January 2024 and also a march by an extremist group that supported Hamas's attack against Israel in 2023, an attack that resulted in the the largest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

Sánchez's strategy has triggered a surge in anti-Semitic attacks in Spain. The extremist attitude of the Spanish socialist leader reached its most serious moment in September 2025, when Sánchez lamented not having "nuclear bombs" to attack Israel, a statement that caused a scandal and for which more than 850 anti-Semitism groups accused Sánchez of "incitement to genocide".

His latest moves leave no room for doubt: Spain has the only European government at the service of Hamas propaganda, a government that has cut diplomatic bridges with Israel but not with Russia and Iran. An international stance that leads the Spanish leftist government to align itself with the international far left and that includes falsely accusing Israel of "genocide," an accusation Sánchez has never leveled against Russia. Unfortunately, it is very possible that Spain will end up paying the consequences of having the most anti-Semitic government in the European Union, a government that claims to be on the right side of history, as if Hamas terrorists had a place on that side.
