The expulsion of Donald Trump from Twitter, a controversial political decision made in January 2021 by the previous owners of that social network, comes to an end.
The suspension of an elected president of a democratic country while in office was a scandalous and incomprehensible event that, moreover, contrasted with Twitter's tolerance towards the dictators of Cuba and Venezuela, two regimes extreme left that violate human rights. This Saturday, at 1:47 a.m. CET, Musk launched a poll to ask users Twitter if Trump's account was reinstated. 15 million users have voted and 51.8% have voted in favour.

Following that vote, today at 1:53 a.m. CET, Musk announced: "The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated".

The reintegration has been immediate: Donald Trump's account, @realDonaldTrump, is now active again, showing the last messages she posted on January 7, 2021 before being censored:
This decision by Elon Musk is a clear step in defense of freedom of speech on Twitter. It was absurd and incomprehensible that dictators could have accounts on that social network and a democratic politician would be censored for purely political reasons .
