The Spanish pro-government media also omits words like 'crime' or 'criminal'

The socialist newspaper El País dedicates a long article to Hamas that omits the word 'terrorist'

The political and media left is exhibiting a shameful attitude towards the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists.

El País: almost 1,200 words about Hamas and not a mention of terrorism

An example of this is the article published yesterday by the socialist newspaper El País about Hamas, titled "What is Hamas and who is behind this Palestinian militia?" (can be read here in open). Already in the headline, El País refers to Hamas as a "militia" and calls its terrorists "militants", emulating the worst practices of certain foreign media regarding the terrorist group ETA, a fact that Hermann Tertsch, Vox MEP, has described in these terms:

“Long article about Hamas in ElPaís. Hamas, the Palestinian militia. Don't look for the word terrorist. No this. The Spanish left since Zapatero and with Sánchez is already so philo-terrorist that the worst champions of terror and murderous barbarism seem to them like “militant” boys.”

As Tertsch points out, it is a long article: it is almost 1,200 words (1,198 to be exact, including the headline and introduction). The words "terrorism", "terrorist", "crime" or "criminal" do not appear even once, neither in the singular nor in the plural, despite the fact that crime and terrorism are precisely the reason for Hamas since its founding, a criminal desire that we are seeing these days as the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists against Israeli civilians become known, babies and small children included.

Will El País also call the terrorist group ETA a 'militia'?

It is curious to observe the care with which that newspaper avoids such obvious terms to refer to that criminal gang, despite the fact that El País recognizes that Hamas "has attacked that country with rockets and suicide attacks. It has also kidnapped citizens." How do the El País editorial staff rate the organizations that commit suicide attacks and kidnappings? Do they always call them "militias" and their members "militants"? Will El País do the same from now on with the terrorist group ETA? Let us take into account the fact that in this latest attack against Israel alone, Hamas has murdered more people than ETA in decades.

The infamous El País news about the Kfar Aza massacre

The way that El País has of whitewashing Hamas is once again evident today with the news known yesterday about the murder of 40 babies and young children in Kfar Aza by Hamas, horrendous crimes that have made headlines in many international media, especially due to the fact that some of the children were beheaded. Last night, El País titled its news about these atrocities like this: "Israel denounces the massacre of dozens of people in a kibbutz near Gaza".

It should be noted that foreign media have had the opportunity to see these corpses and all we have been able to see the bags with the bodies of the murdered civilians being removed by the Israeli soldiers. El País reduces all of this to "Israel denounces", as if the Jewish State had invented it. It is certainly no surprise. The socialist newspaper has been exhibiting its hostility against Israel for decades, an anti-Israel bias that is reaching its most repulsive extremes after the recent Hamas terrorist attack against Israel.
