The Vox MEP accused the socialist of dealing a “coup on democracy”

Buxadé's resounding speech exposing Pedro Sánchez in Strasbourg

Pedro Sánchez appeared today at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, as a culmination of the current Spanish presidency of the EU.

Persecuting the opposition is only the beginning: Sánchez's blacklist headed by Vox
Santiago Abascal and the thin skin of the left, which has said and done things like these

As is customary in his interventions in Spain, Sánchez made an exhibition of narcissism and sectarianism, using this event not to account for these six months of presidency, but devoting himself to attacking the right and provoking the rejection of a large part of the European Parliament, not only for his words but also for his lowly forms and more typical of a partisan rally than an institutional act. If in the European Union they did not know the Spanish socialist leader well, now they know him, in the worst of the senses.

Among the many criticisms directed by members of the European Parliament against Sánchez it is worth highlighting the intervention of Jorge Buxadé, MEP from Vox, the third most voted party in Spain and the only Spanish party that has assumed an opposition role real to socialism, given the resignation of the Popular Party to fight the battle of ideas. Buxadé made a brilliant and firm speech, in which he accused Sánchez of "destroying the guarantees of the rule of law", pointing out that the socialist leader "wants to give a blow to democracy, trample on the Constitution and end equality between Spaniards."

Buxadé also referred to the complaint of the Socialist Party (PSOE) against Vox, in an attempt by Sánchez to persecute the opposition while he is dedicated to amnesty all kinds of criminals: "neither their complaints nor their threats are going to silence us. We are going to move forward with the Spaniards in the streets, in the institutions and in the courts,"said the Vox MEP. You can listen to his full intervention here (the video is in Spanish, you can activate the automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player):

For its interest, I include here the English translation of Buxadé's intervention:

"Mr. Sánchez: you will go down in history, generations of Spaniards will study in history books your narcissistic, manipulative behavior, without empathy and without moral scruples.

Millions of Spaniards live on the threshold of poverty, and you decided to fleece the middle classes by raising taxes and distributing European funds among public entities, to weave your network of personal favors.

Millions of Europeans walk unsafely through the streets, but you decided to surrender the borders to the arrival of mass immigration, fueling the business of human being mafias.

Millions of Spaniards without jobs and you place your friends in positions of responsibility, in unprecedented nepotism, and when the courts annul your decisions, then you call into question the legitimacy of the Judiciary.

All of Europe already knows your narcissism. You have ruined the Spanish presidency.None of the problems that threaten the Spanish people have been on the European agenda: water policy, the defense of farmers and ranchers against unfair foreign competition, the fight against depopulation. ..

And if that were not enough, now you want to carry out a coup on democracy, trample on the Constitution and end equality between Spaniards.

All European policy in the last 250 years has been oriented towards justice: ending privileges and taking the principle of equality before the law to its ultimate consequences. And you are on the opposite path: that a manifestly unconstitutional special law is approved to benefit a certain group of people, who committed the most serious crimes against the Nation, is a setback of centuries. That judges are deprived of their constitutional function of judging and executing what is judged, and that all judges without exception denounce your coup on the rule of law, is a setback of centuries.

For you, what was unconstitutional and illegal yesterday is necessary today because you have to pay the bill that those have presented to you for your personal survival. It is the greatest act of political corruption in our history.

You, your party, your senseless propaganda lack all authority and legitimacy. They are the result of a deception against the Spanish people and a criminal agreement forged in a sordid hotel in Brussels with a gang of looters and fugitives from Justice. But you are such a coward that you didn't even come to sign it in person.

Look, Mr. Sánchez: in February 1936, a Popular Front, as antidemocratic and antinational as yours, granted amnesty to those who had risen up against the republican constitutional order and the unity of the Nation. They also alleged that their motive was the pacification and tranquility of national life. Months later, the spiritual leader of those three, Companys, became politically responsible for the murder of more than 8,000 Spaniards.

I started by telling you that you will go down in history, and you will go down in history as the perjured president. You will go down in history for destroying the guarantees of the rule of law. You will go down in history for trying to destroy everything that our parents and grandparents built with effort. You will go down in history as the president who cannot walk the streets of Spain for fear of the Spanish people. And even worse: you are responsible for what happens to Spain and the Spanish people if this law is approved.

But don't worry: neither your complaints nor your threats are going to silence us. We are going to move forward with the Spaniards in the streets, in the institutions and in the courts. Facing the tyrant: permanent mobilization. Thank you very much."
