In fact, if bullfights did not exist, the tens of thousands of fighting cattle registered in Spain and the 1,300 companies that create them would be destined to disappear. Those who ask to ban bullfighting could end up causing the fighting bull to disappear. It is a curious way of protecting an animal species.

Yesterday, the Minister of Culture of Pedro Sánchez's government, the far-leftist Ernst Urtasun, announced "the suppression of the National Bullfighting Prize", appealing to "animal welfare". It's a very poor excuse to justify, actually, that he suppresses that award because he doesn't like that part of our culture. It is a situation as absurd as if a minister decided to suppress the National Cinematography Award because he doesn't like cinema. I don't like bullfights and I simply don't go. The minister does not like them and intends to put an end to them. What a "great democrat."

It should be noted that last year, Urtasun called abortion a "right", that is, the act of killing and dismembering human beings in their prenatal age. Apparently, his compassion ends where the space that should be safest for any unborn son or daughter begins: his mother's womb. We have a government with an aberrant ideology that grants rights to animals while taking them away from multitudes of human beings, which feigns sensitivity by crying out against bullfighting while applauding the act of killing the most human beings. weak, innocent and defenseless.

According to the latest official figures, in 2022, induced abortion killed 98,316 unborn boys and girls in Spain. It is repugnant that the same left that cries out against bullfighting supports an authentic slaughter of human beings at the beginning of their lives, a massacre that has already killed 2.75 million unborn sons and daughters in Spain since 1985. Some figures typical of a genocide.

Leftists like Ustasun complain that bullfighting is a "national holiday." Bullfights do not reach 500 annually in Spain. The slaughter of unborn children is much bloodier than bullfighting, but socialism does not care because abortion is its "fiesta". It is the "fiesta" of the culture of death, as the Polish Pope Saint John Paul II very well defined it. Rejecting bullfighting and supporting abortion is a contradiction that reveals the serious moral disorder suffered by a large part of our society.
