If you want to know the degree of moral perversion of an ideology, you only need to check how it devalues the value of human life.
The progressive final solution for any type of disease
In December 2020, the Spanish left and its allies approved a euthanasia law, which opened the door to turning the State into an executioner of people with any type of illness under a cynical guise of compassion. The ambiguous Article 5 of that law was a veritable loophole that transformed the regulation into an assisted suicide law, making death a final solution for any type of illness, thus specifying which people could request its execution: "Suffering from a serious and incurable illness or a serious, chronic, and disabling condition, as established in this Law, certified by the responsible physician."
In 2020, during the processing of that law in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the government of Pedro Sánchez already displayed its intentions with the euthanasia law with a criminal abandonment of nursing homes. An infamous triage system was beginning to be implemented in Spain that discarded lives supposedly unworthy of being lived, a concept already used by nazism to liquidate tens of thousands of people in its euthanasia plan and which was copied by the Spanish left to justify a law that turns the act of killing patients into a medical act, a monstrosity that the left had already previously promoted with unborn babies.
They deny aid to patients and force them to request euthanasia
A few months after Congress passed the euthanasia law, ALS patients began to suffer a boycott by the Sánchez government of the aid intended for them. Five years later, that aid still hasn't arrived: the government has turned euthanasia into a way to eliminate costly patients, forcing them to request it by cutting off their support. In March 2021, an ALS patient denounced that the government only offered them euthanasia: "4,000 Spaniards with ALS are dying, and 1,000 more die each year. They have abandoned us and I would like to know why".
Euthanasia as a remedy to the effects of growing insecurity
This week we learned of the next step in the legal loophole of that euthanasia law. A 25-year-old woman requests euthanasia after attempting suicide following a gang rape in 2022. Her suicide attempt resulted in various injuries for which she underwent surgery and a rehabilitation process, after which "she is able to get up on her own, climb stairs… Her pain is perfectly controlled with a medication regimen", according to her family's lawyer, who opposes the request for euthanasia.
As expected, the left has openly supported a person with depression asking to be killed, because that's what we're talking about: a young woman, with her whole life ahead of her, who suffered a traumatic event (rape) amidst growing insecurity caused by the left's own policies, with a large increase in rapes (sexual assaults involving penetration have tripled in Spain since Sánchez came to power). It is also the case that 43.3% of the perpetrators of group sexual crimes committed in Spain are of foreign origin, a problem that the left tries to silence by accusing those who denounce it of being "xenophobic".
Having failed to protect this girl, the government now offers her suicide as a solution to her depression. It's a purely dystopian situation that clearly demonstrates that in Spain we have a left wing that is reviving nazism but with a progressive disguise, as we have already seen with antisemitism.
Devaluing the lives of vulnerable people
In the end, euthanasia laws always end up achieving the same effect that nazism sought with its promotion of that crime: to make more and more people consider themselves a burden, to consider their lives unworthy of being lived, devaluing their lives, and then offering them death as a solution. It's not hard to imagine who the next victims will be: in Canada, the left has already allowed euthanasia for poor people who lacked support. This trend ultimately demonstrates the true purpose of euthanasia laws: to get rid of vulnerable people, turning them into undesirable expenses for the state. It's exactly the same idea promoted by nazism. The fact is that inciting suicide is a crime under the Spanish Penal Code, but the left has turned it into a perverse ideological agenda.
