It acts like a spoiled, ungrateful and insatiable child who achieves his every whim

No cession will satisfy Catalan separatism: this is what would come next

At a certain point in life, all parents should already know that it is a mistake to say yes to a child's every whim.

Educating a child in the idea that they can get everything they want, because their parents always end up giving in to their tantrums, is the best guarantee that you are going to raise a spoiled, ungrateful, rude and insatiable child. Examples are abundant in our society and we have all known someone like this. The most likely thing is that a child raised in this way will end up being a toxic and unbearable adult, being accustomed to seeing all her desires satisfied and always placing her will above any other consideration.

The succession of whims of Catalan separatism since 1979

Something similar happens with separatism in Spain. Regional nationalism emerged as movements installed in an attitude of demagoguery, irrationality and permanent complaint. They consider that everything bad that happens in their respective regions is the fault of Spain, and in exchange for temporarily giving up asking for independence , they have dedicated themselves to requesting all kinds of whims. In 1979 the Catalan and Basque statutes of autonomy were approved, but separatism became angry when statutes were granted to other regions. Then began an endless race to obtain new skills: police, prisons, education, health...

But that was not enough for them. Then the Statute of Catalonia of 2006 arrived, which sought to obtain what was only possible with a constitutional reform. As was foreseeable, the Constitutional Court It was partially invalidated in 2010 and separatism became angry, encouraged by the socialists, who had promoted that text knowing that it was unconstitutional. It was the beginning of a political campaign that ultimately led to the separatist coup d'état of 2017, after different governments tried to appease the separatists with more powers and more money than other regions.

Now he wants impunity for his crimes and to break up Spain

Now, taking advantage of Pedro Sánchez's weakness, separatists ask for amnesty for the perpetrators of the 2017 coup and criminal immunity for separatism, knowing that these are openly unconstitutional and undemocratic measures. And since they see that Sánchez is willing to give in, they are already advancing their next demand: a self-determination referendum, that is, breaking the unity of Spain, which has been their authentic objective for years.

What would come next if you give in to the demands of separatism

There are delusional people who believe that it would be enough to give the separatists what they ask for to stop having to put up with their tantrums, even at the price of demolishing our rule of law and converting millions of Catalans who love Spain. held hostage by totalitarians. Well no. Even if they achieved independence, tomorrow the separatists would be asking for more: first it would be for Spain to pay the pensions of Catalan retirees, then the annexation of the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands strong>, using language as an imperialist argument. If they were to achieve all this, later they would demand the eastern strip of Aragon and El Carche, in Murcia, which separatism usually encompasses in his colonialist dream called "Catalan Countries".

At that point, separatism would have already made plans to demand all of Aragon, all of Murcia and La Mancha, because if one day it exhausts its demands, however ridiculous and absurd they may be, it will have lost the nationalist hook with which it keeps their followers stupefied. If it also achieved those territories, separatism would embark Europe in a conflict with France and Italy to take over Andorra (an independent country whose co-prince is the French president), the city of Alghero strong> (Sardinia, Italy) and Roussillon (France), territories that the separatists have also claimed for years.

Separatism has to get used to receiving a 'no' to its tantrums

Catalan separatism will never put an end to its demands and its tantrums, for the same reason that the communist dictatorship of North Korea deceives its citizens into believing day after day that they are going to be invaded by the American demons. Separatism is a spoiled, ungrateful and insatiable child that does not know how to do anything other than have whims and blame others for everything that happens in Catalonia. Separatism uses the Catalan flag (now it no longer even comes with the flag, that is why they have invented the "estelada") to permanently hide its responsibility for the problems of Catalonia, converted by separatism into one of the regions with the most political corruption in Europe.

The territorial problems caused by separatism in Spain will only begin to be resolved in the same way that a child can only be educated correctly. He has to get used to receiving a "no" in response to his whims and tantrums, and he must also assume that behaving rudely and ungratefully must have an implacable political penalty. We cannot allow the unity of Spain and coexistence between Spaniards to be subordinated to the whims of separatism, a corrupt, capricious and insatiable political movement that does not respect democratic principles or the rule of law.
